摘要: A method and an apparatus for winding a continuously advancing yarn at a constant winding speed to a package on a rotating tube. The tube is mounted on a driven winding spindle. Before the winding cycle, a yarn guide moves the yarn from a threading position to a transfer range for transferring it to the yarn traversing device. In so doing, a transfer tail wind is produced on the tube outside of the traverse range. In accordance with the invention, the speed of the yarn guide is controlled as a function of the winding speed such that a certain number of winds are deposited on the tube for producing the transfer tail wind.

摘要: An apparatus for guiding, treating, or advancing at least one yarn (1), comprising a delivery roll (2) and a companion roll (3) cooperating with the delivery roll so that the yarn repeatedly loops the delivery roll (2) and the companion roll (3). The delivery roll and the companion roll are driven by associated electric motors (7, 8), which are controlled via control lines (9) at a desired frequency by a controller (10). To enable an equalization of the circumferential speeds of the delivery roll (2) and the companion roll (3), the electric motor of the companion roll is an asynchronous motor that is controlled by the desired frequency and has a motor slip.

摘要: In a process of removing pollutants consisting substantially of sulfur oxides from exhaust gases at temperatures below 150.degree. C. by means of a sorbent which contains calcium carbonate, calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide and which is included in a circulating fluidized bed system consisting of a fluidized bed reactor, a separator and a return line, a complete utilization of the sorbent is achieved in that a partial stream of laden sorbent is withdrawn from the circulating fluidized bed and is subjected at a temperature of 600.degree. to 1200.degree. C. to an oxidizing treatment, a major part of the sorbent that has been subjected to an oxidizing treatment is recycled to the circulating fluidized bed, and a partial stream which contains the sorbent mainly in the form of calcium sulfate is removed from the process. Fresh sorbent is supplied to the circulating fluidized bed and/or to the stage for the oxidizing treatment at the rate at which said partial stream is removed from the process.

摘要: This invention relates generally to methods and computer readable media for upgrading firmware stored in a non-volatile memory, in phases, and restoring firmware in-situ to compensate for failed firmware upgrades. In various embodiments, methods and computer readable media can upgrade and restore the firmware as the non-volatile memory remains functioning. In one embodiment, a method includes designating a first copy of firmware for accessing, and designating a second copy of the firmware for upgrading. The method continues by accessing one or more firmware instructions from the first copy. It also can include upgrading at least a portion of the second copy with at least a portion of new firmware. Upgrading the second copy can be coincident or substantially coincident to accessing the one or more firmware instructions in the first copy.

摘要: An apparatus for melt spinning and winding up synthetic yarns comprising a spinning appliance, a treating appliance and a windup machine. The treating appliance comprises a runoff godet for guiding the yarns before entry and distribution of the yarns into a plurality of winding stations in the windup machine, the runoff godet being arranged above the windup machine and guiding the yarns in a parallel side by side arrangement on its circumference. The runoff godet is arranged transversely to a winding spindle and above the windup machine, the windup machine comprising a plurality of head yarn guides which are disposed upstream of the winding stations and are arranged in a vertically oriented runup plane. To ensure a very low-friction guidance for the yarns, the invention provides that the head yarn guides of the winding stations are disposed downstream of the runoff godet immediately in the yarn path and such that on deflection of the yarns into the runup plane an angle of deflection of not more than 15° is not exceeded.

摘要: An apparatus for spinning and winding a plurality of synthetic filament yarns, and which includes a spinning device, a withdrawal godet downstream of the spinning device, and a takeup device which has a plurality of winding positions that are distributed along a longitudinal axis. In the spinning device, a plurality of spinnerets are arranged in side-by-side relationship, each for spinning one yarn, and in the takeup device, each yarn is wound to a package at one of the winding positions. To provide a device that is compact and operator friendly, the spinning device and withdrawal godet are oriented in a transverse relationship with the longitudinal axis of the takeup device, and they are arranged in the region of the front end of the takeup device. With that, the distribution of the yarns from the spinning device to the winding positions can be readily accomplished.

摘要: A method and system for managing maintenance operations in a multi-bank non-volatile storage device is disclosed. The method includes receiving a data write command and associated data from a host system for storage in the non-volatile storage device and directing a head of the data write command to a first bank in the and a tail of the data write command to a second bank, where the head of the data write command only includes data having logical block addresses preceding logical block addresses of data in the tail of the data write command. When a status of the first bank delays execution of the data write command the controller executes a second bank maintenance procedure in the second bank while the data write command directed to the first and second banks is pending. The system includes a plurality of banks, where each bank may be associated with the same or different controllers, and the one or more controllers are adapted to execute the method noted above.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for the photographic representation of a cylindrical, especially plate-shaped object, having a front surface and an envelope surface, by means of a camera oriented towards the front surface. Said method uses a lens system having a beam path which is embodied in such a way that the envelope surface is represented as an annular surface surrounding the image of the front surface. Preferably, the diameter of the lens system is larger than the width of the workpiece. Alternatively, a mirror in the form of the inner surface of a conical envelope surrounds the object to be photographically represented, the camera being positioned with its lens system essentially on the conical axis. The object is illuminated by means of a ring of transparent material surrounding the object and having a light opening parallel to the cylindrical axis of the object and a light emergence surface which is in the form of a cylindrical envelope or a conical envelope, surrounds the envelope surface, and is essentially oriented towards the envelope surface.
