Abstract:
Nonwoven web products containing sub-micron fibers, and more specifically nonwoven web products having sub-micron fibers formed by fibrillation of polymer films, and nonwoven materials and articles incorporating them, and methods of producing these products.
Abstract:
Processes for producing nonwoven web products containing sub-micron fibers are provided, and more specifically processes for producing nonwoven web products having sub-micron fibers formed by fibrillation of polymer films are provided.
Abstract:
A Z-axis test coupon structure includes a plurality of circularly-arranged tensile specimens oriented along a Z-axis and at least one web connecting adjacent ones of the plurality of tensile specimens.
Abstract:
A method of precision assembly of component parts of an article uses a laser light projection system in combination with a photoreactive material. The photoreactive material is applied to the component parts of the article being assembled, where the photoreactive material is exposed to the laser light emitted by the projector system. When the photoreactive material is exposed to the laser light, the appearance of the material changes to mark a location on the material and thereby on the component part where an assembly operation is to take place.
Abstract:
A catalyst composition that is the combination of or the reaction product of ingredients comprising (a) an molybdenum-containing compound, (b) a silyl phosphonate, and (c) an organoaluminum compound.
Abstract:
New joint compensator and systems and methods of their use have been invented which, in one aspect are useful for compensating for the weight of a first joint and at least one subsequent joint, the first joint to be supported above the at least one subsequent joint, the joint compensator in one aspect having a body interconnectible between the first joint and moving apparatus, the body including supporting apparatus for supporting the first joint above the at least one subsequent joints and for providing support of the first joint as it moves with respect to the at least one subsequent joint, the supporting apparatus compensating for weight of the first joint as it moves, the support apparatus for alternately supporting the first joint and then the at least one subsequent joint, the support apparatus initially adjustable to compensate for the weight of the first joint so that the support apparatus is also thereby adjusted to compensate for weight of the at least one subsequent joint.
Abstract:
A new tool has been developed for, in one aspect, facilitating release of a tubular string coupled between a travelling block and elevators with insufficient clearance to release elevator slips in order to remove the tubular. In one aspect the releasing tool is effectively shortened permitting release of the elevators. Such shortening is effected by releasing an expansion sub and piston within the tool for relative movement with respect to other parts of the tool. Initially the expansion sub and piston are held in place by fluid in a first chamber. Movement of fluid from the first chamber and movement of fluid into a second chamber housing the piston results in piston movement (and movement of the expansion sub which is secured to the piston) to effectively shorten the tool. In one aspect the fluid moves in a closed loop between the chambers and no fluid is expelled to the environment. In another aspect only one fluid chamber is used.
Abstract:
A vulcanizable composition of matter comprising a rubber component, a filler, a curative for the rubber, where the rubber component includes a multi-modal polymer including at least two distinct peak molecular weights within a range defined by a lower limit of 80 kg/mole and an upper limit of 500 kg/mole.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides in one embodiment for an integral seal for a drill template tool for a structure having an outside mold line surface fabricated according to a precise definition using computer aided design (CAD). The integral seal comprises an inner surface in contact with an interior portion of a continuous groove portion formed in a bottom surface of a vacuum housing of the drill template tool. The integral seal further comprises an outer surface in contact with the structure. The integral seal is formed in the groove portion on the bottom surface of the vacuum housing, and the groove portion is formed using one of selective laser sintering, fused deposition modeling, or stereolithography, during fabrication of the drill template tool. The integral seal prevents leakage of fluids and debris generated by a drilling process of the structure.
Abstract:
A polymer includes at a terminus a cyclic amine radical bonded to the polymer through a ring nitrogen atom. The polymer can be provided by using a lithiated version of the cyclic amine to initiate polymerization of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers. The polymer can be used in the production in a variety of vulcanizates.
