The method includes designating a location of the bore hole on an exterior surface of the shroud block, positioning the shroud block in a machining device, securing the shroud block in the machining device, and machining the bore hole in the shroud block. The machining device includes a locating tool, a machining tool, a platform, a securing device, and a radial support. The radial support is configured to mate with a radial exterior surface of the shroud block such that a machining axis of the machining device may be aligned with a radial axis of the shroud block during positioning.

    摘要: A panel face drilling system using a plunge router wherein an attached guide assembly in conjunction with a guide rail registered to a dual position work holding fixture provides tool guiding means to repeatably drill hole patterns within an array of perpendicular columns and rows. The column and row positions are fixed in relation to the work holding fixture. Nonstandard hole positions are obtainable through use of spacers. The work holding fixture is configured to allow loading of two work pieces at a time each to be aligned against a fence, positioned against a stop, constrained by a resilient clamping means, ready for drilling. By referencing the hole position number sets marked on the tool guiding means one can quickly drill required holes in one panel and then drill a mirror image of that hole pattern in a second panel.

    摘要: A machining tool comprises a frame mounting an extendable yoke slidable with respect to the frame in a first direction through one or more mounting pillars. A tool motor is mounted on the yoke. A drive mechanism for the yoke is also mounted in the frame, with a drive motor to drive the yoke drive mechanism. A belt is between pulleys on the drive motor and mechanism to transmit drive between them. A rotatable sleeve is around the tool motor and on which sleeve the belt engages on opposite sides of the tool motor, whereby the tool motor can extend between the drive motor and mechanism, thereby resulting in a compact arrangement of the tool.
