摘要： A pilot-measurement control method and a dual-mode terminal are provided. After entering a tunnel state, an idle state protocol submodule does not wait for a measurement start command to trigger pilot measurement, but instead, directly triggers pilot measurement by actively searching for high rate packet data (HRPD) measurement permission variable information. Alternatively, measurement indication information sent by an initialization protocol submodule is buffered in advance, so that after entering the tunnel state, the idle state protocol submodule can trigger pilot measurement by searching for the buffered information. Alternatively, the idle state protocol submodule performs pilot measurement according to received measurement indication information sent by an air interface connection management protocol submodule when the idle state protocol submodule is activated.

A method for an operation of a Relay Station (RS) includes determining whether a packet received from an upper node comprises a Relay Media Access Control (MAC) Header (RMH), when the RMH is comprised in the received packet, determining whether the RMH comprises access RS information, and when the access RS information is not comprised in the RMH, removing the RMH from the received packet and transmitting the packet to a lower Mobile Station (MS).

The method of the RS includes, when receiving at least one traffic Media Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) from a Mobile Station (MS) accessing the RS, extracting a Layer-3(L3) packet from the at least one traffic MAC PDU, generating a relay MAC PDU including the L3 packet, and transmitting the MAC PDU to the BS through an RS Service Flow (SF) which supports Quality of Service (QoS) required by an MS SF carrying the L3 packet.

The method includes grouping at least one Mobile Station (MS) capable of using the same Frequency Allocation (FA), according to zones, multicasting zone information indicating a frequency resource available for each zone to at least one MS belonging to a corresponding zone, unicasting resource allocation information indicating an allocated frequency resource to at least one MS to which the frequency resource is allocated, among the grouped MSs, and communicating with the at least one MS using the allocated frequency resource indicated by the resource allocation information, within the frequency resource indicated by the zone information.

摘要： A method for paging access terminals. The method includes: a network entity sends a paging message to a target AN. The paging message carries the information required for calculating the time when the AT wakes to monitor the paging message. The information includes the absolute time that is determined according to the time when the AT previously shifts from the connected state to the idle state. Upon receipt of the paging message, the target AN determines when to send the paging message to the AT according to the information carried in the paging message. The present embodiments also disclose a system and apparatus for paging access terminals. The apparatus is a network entity that sends the paging message. The method, system and apparatus can be used to determine the time when the AT wakes to monitor the paging message, thus ensuring that the AT paging is not missed.
