摘要： An eyeglass temple has an arm whose forward end is connected to one of a pair of eyeglasses or to one end of a rim holding a pair of eyeglasses and an earpiece continuing from the rear end of the arm is made up of a plastic temple proper and a core buried in the plastic temple proper so as to extend in the direction of its length. A portion of the metal core buried in the arm has extra-high elasticity, whereas a portion in the earpiece has plasticity.

摘要： A plated nickel-titanium alloy product having a plated layer of nickel or a nickel alloy containing 5 to 15% by weight of cobalt. This product exhibits excellent surface treatability and workability, as well as shape memory effect and super-elasticity. Thus the product is most suitable for eyeglass frame components or similar ornamental articles. The product is produced by plating a layer of nickel or a nickel-cobalt alloy on the nickel-titanium alloy, dehydrogenating, cold working with not less than 10% working ratio, and subjecting to a final heat treatment between 300.degree. C. and 900.degree. C. If the final heat treatment is conducted between 750.degree. C. and 900.degree. C. for 10 to 120 seconds, a product with 4% or more super-elasticity at room temperature can be obtained.

摘要： A vehicle leveling system employing pneumatic leveling units has a valve unit and a control device therefor for supplying a gas pressure from a gas pressure generator unit to and discharging it from the pneumatic leveling units. The control device comprises switches and a pressure sensor for detecting the gas pressure in the pneumatic leveling units and issuing a signal indicating the detected gas pressure, the control device including a central processing unit. The control device is operable in response to commands applied by the switches and the output signal from the pressure sensor, and has various control modes.

摘要： An intravascular stent 11 has an elastic self-expandable cylindrical stent proper 12. The stent proper 12 is connected to metal support wires 18 that are long enough to reach outside of the body of a patient through a catheter 31. Manipulation of the support wires 18 pushes the stent proper 12 into a blood vessel from within the catheter, thereby allowing it to expand there, and then contracts and retracts the stent proper 12 into the catheter 31, repeatedly.
