    摘要： A novel .DELTA..sup.2 -1,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivative having a herbicidal activity, which is represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein, R.sup.1 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, or a C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkenyl group; and X is a hydroxy group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyloxy group, an alkyloxyalkyloxy group of which two alkyls may be same as or different from each other and each alkyl is of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4, a C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkenyloxy, or an alkyloxycarbonylalkyloxy group of which two alkyls may be same as or different from each other and each alkyl is of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4.

    摘要： A process for producing 1,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivatives represented by the general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R is a haloalkyl group of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms having halogen atom substituents, a cycloalkyl group of 3 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group of 3 to 6 carbon atoms having halogen atom substituents, a cyanoalkyl group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group of w to 6 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a lower alkoxyalkyl group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a lower alkylthioalkyl group of 2 to 8 carbon atoms, a lower alkylsufinylalkyl group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a lower alkylsufonylalkyl group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a lower alkoxyalkoxyalkyl group of 3 to 8 carbon atoms, a hydroxycarbonylalkyl group of 2 to 3 carbon atoms, a lower alkoxycarbonylalkyl group of 3 to 6 carbon atoms, a benzylgroup, a benzyl group having 1 to 2 substituents (selected from a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a lower alkoxy group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a nitro group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxycarbonyl group and a phenoxy group), an alpha-methylbenzyl group or a phenethyl group.

    摘要： A .DELTA..sup.2 -1,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivative represented by the following general formula (I), a process for manufacturing thereof, a herbicidal composition comprising it as an active ingredient, and a use of it as a herbicide: ##STR1## wherein R is a hydrogen atom, a univalent alkali metal atom, an unsubstituted quaternary ammonium salt, a substituted quaternary ammonium salt having at least one C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group as a substituent, an unsubstituted-alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 substituted-alkyl group having at least one halogen atom as a substituent, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 substituted-alkyl group having a cyano group as a substituent, an alkenyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having to 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxyalkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkylthioalkyl group having to 2 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkylsulfinylalkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkylsulfonylalkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxyalkoxyalkyl group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, a hydroxycarbonylalkyl group having 2 to 3 carbon atoms, an alkoxycarbonylalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, an unsubstituted-benzyl group, a substituted-benzyl group having at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms and alkyl groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a phenethyl group; R.sup.1 is a haloalkyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms; and X is a halogen atom.
