摘要: Described is method as well as a cooler (1) for cooling hot particulate material which has been the subject of heat treatment in an industrial furnace, such as a rotary kiln (3) for manufacturing cement clinker, by which method the hot material from the kiln (3) is directed to an inlet grate (21) in the cooler (1), in which cooling air from an underlying compartment (24) is led via a number of channels (28) through gaps (20) in the inlet grate for cooling the hot material and where compressed air from a separate system (25) via a number of ducts (26) can be intermittently injected into the material on the inlet grate (21). The channels (28) for cooling air are blanked off in connection with the injection of compressed air.

摘要: A cooler for cooling particulate material which has been subjected to heat treatment in an industrial kiln, such as a rotary kiln for manufacturing cement clinker, which cooler comprises an inlet, an outlet, end walls, side walls, a bottom and a ceiling, at least one stationary supporting surface for receiving and supporting the material to be cooled, means for injecting cooling gas into the material, as well as a reciprocating scraper system which comprises a number of rows of scraper elements arranged transversely across the direction of movement of the material, said scraper elements being moved back and forth in the direction of movement of the material for conveying the material forward across the supporting surface. The cooler is peculiar in that each of the transverse scraper elements is firmly fixed to at least one drive plate oriented in the direction of movement of the material, said plate extending at least across the entire length of the supporting surface, and being led either through the supporting surface of the cooler, its ceiling, one of its side walls and/or at least one of its end walls, where the drive plate is connected to a drive arrangement for movement back and forth.

摘要: A bed of particulate material 6 is supported by an air distribution bottom 5. Under the distribution bottom 5 exist one or more compartments 7, which each being supplied with cooling air from a fan installation 8. The distribution bottom 5 is sectionalised in a number of smaller areas 9. Each smaller distribution area 9 is connected to the compartment 7 by ducts 10, 11 and 12. The one duct 10 does have a fixed orifice area. The ducts 11 and 12 do have floaters 13A/13B end stop 14A/14B and bottom support 15A/15B. It is hereby obtained that the total pressure loss across the air distribution bottom can be reduced, and so that the flow of the treatment air through the material bed is distributed in a desirable manner across the entire air distribution bottom regardless of the composition of the material bed and the distribution thereon, and optimal heat exchange efficiency is obtained.

摘要: A bed (6; 78) of particulate material, which is supported by a gas distribution bottom (9; 75), is located utilizing a treatment gas, which via ducts (19; 35; 77) is conducted in sectionalized manner to and directed up through the gas distribution bottom and the bed of material from one or several underlying compartments (15; 76). The flow of the treatment gas through each duct (19; 35; 77) is self regulated by means of a flow regulator (21) provided in each duct. It is thereby obtained that the total pressure loss across the gas distribution bottom can be reduced, that the flow of the treatment gas through the material bed is distributed in a desirable and well-defined manner across the entire gas distribution bottom regardless of the composition of the material bed and the distribution thereon, and that tunnel formations are avoided.
