摘要: Systems and methods that can employ and/or produce an improved multi-electrode pad configured to adhere to a patients skin and provide transcutaneous stimulation to a portion of tissue are described. The electrode pad can include a flexible substrate. A plurality of electrodes can be arranged in an array on or within the flexible substrate. Each of the plurality of electrodes is configured to apply a stimulation waveform. Conductive traces are applied to the flexible substrate and coupled to each of the plurality of electrodes such that each of the plurality of electrodes is independently addressable through a single external cable.

摘要: Systems and methods that can employ a bleeding sensor that uses an optical mechanism to detect blood in the patients GI tract are described. The bleeding sensor includes a substrate holding a centrally-located light detector with a broad sensitivity spectrum and at least two light emitters positioned radially around the centrally-located light detector, each light emitter configured to emit light of different primary wavelengths. The bleeding sensor has a gap between each of the at least two light emitters and the centrally-located light detector that accepts the contents of a patients gastrointestinal tract. An optical cap covers the centrally-located light detector and the at least two light emitters to direct the light emitted from the at least two light emitters through the gap and onto the centrally-located light detector.

摘要: A transcutaneous electrical stimulation system is provided that can include a number of features. In one implementation, the system can include a plurality of electrodes configured to be in contact with a skin surface of a patient. The system can further include a flexible hub electrically connected to the electrodes and configured to be in contact with the patient. A bend sensor can be disposed in the hub and configured to measure a curvature of the hub. The system can include a signal processing device electrically coupled to the plurality of electrodes and the bend sensor, the signal processing device being configured to change stimulation settings of the plurality of electrodes based on the curvature of the hub. In some implementations, the system can include a multi-channel stimulator. Methods of use are also provided.

摘要: Photobiomodulation can be used to treat disorders of the gastrointestinal system. The photobiomodulation can be delivered by an intraluminal device (which can be within the gastrointestinal system) that includes at least one light delivery device configured to provide photobiomodulation; at least one photodetector device to measure reflectance based on the photobiomodulation; a processor to receive a reflectance signal from the at least one photodetector device based on the reflectance measured by the at least one photodetector device and process the reflectance signal; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor to transmit at least a portion of the processed reflectance signal. The wireless transceiver can communicate with an external device that includes a wireless transceiver to receive the at least the portion of the processed reflectance signal.
