    摘要: A centrifugal fan capable of exhibiting enhanced waterproof performance without using a resin mold while being simplified in structure. Air is sucked from one axial side of a revolving shaft of an electric motor and discharged in a radial direction of the revolving shaft. A second side wall of a casing and a wall of a blade support of an impeller have opposite surface portions arranged opposite to each other in an axial direction of the revolving shaft, respectively. The opposite surface portions are formed into a configuration which permits the opposite surface portions to cooperate with each other to provide a labyrinth structure for preventing water from intruding into a space defined between a cup-like member and the second wall from an outside in the radial direction of the revolving shaft. A first side wall and the second side wall are formed with drainage through-holes.

    摘要: A counter-rotating axial-flow fan may be controlled to improve both cooling efficiency and operating efficiency. A first motor and a second motor are started in a given starting mode. Then, if the temperature of an object to be cooled is higher than a given reference temperature, the rotational speed of the first motor and the rotational speed of the second motor are controlled in a predetermined cooling efficiency mode that gives priority to cooling the object to be cooled over the operating efficiency of the counter-rotating axial-flow fan. If the temperature of the object to be cooled is equal to or lower than the given reference temperature, the rotational speeds of the first and second motors are controlled in a predetermined operating efficiency mode that maintains the object to be cooled at a temperature equal to or lower than the given reference temperature and reduces the power consumption of the counter-rotating axial-flow fan.

    摘要: An electric fan is provided, including a labyrinth structure with increased performance of preventing entry of a liquid into a receiving space to receive a stator and a rotor. A clearance is defined between an opposed wall portion of a base and an opposed wall portion of an impeller body, which are opposed to each other in an axial direction of a rotary shaft, to form a labyrinth structure. The opposed wall portion of the base and the opposed wall portions of the impeller body are shaped to form a volume expanding portion within the clearance. The volume expanding portion is constituted from a groove portion for expanding the clearance, having a volume larger than other portions within the clearance.

    摘要: A molded part is formed of an insulating resin such that a stator, electronic components, and a circuit substrate are included inside the molded part. A protective layer for preventing breakage of electrical connection that might occur due to expansion or shrinkage of the molded part is provided at least between the electronic components and the molded part. The protective layer is formed of an insulating material having shear adhesion strength smaller than that of an insulating resin of the molded part that has been cured. The shear adhesion strength and the thickness of the protective layer are defined so that, when the expansion or shrinkage which might cause the breakage of the electrical connection has taken place in the insulating resin of the molded part, separation between the electronic components and the protective layer can be caused.

    摘要: A drive unit for a brushless fan motor capable of easily controlling the rational speed of the motor without using PWM control. A power control circuit is provided for controlling the rational speed of the rotor by controlling the on/off operation of power feed semiconductor switch. The actual rotational speed of the rotor is compared with the target rotational speed. Based on the compared values, the turn-off time of the power feed semiconductor switch is controlled so that the rotational speed of the rotor may reach the target rotational speed fast and smoothly.

In addition to the air flowing direction adjusting ribs 37, a plurality of air stirring ribs 39 for stirring the air inside the cup-like member 9 is arranged on the inner surface of the bottom wall section 9.

    摘要: A drive unit for a brushless motor capable of permitting a rotor to be reliably rotated in a normal or positive direction during starting of the motor. A power control circuit is so constructed that a power feed semiconductor switch may have turn-on time set to a level required or sufficient to permit the rotor to get out of a negative torque region during starting of the brushless motor and turn-off time set to a level sufficient to permit the rotor to race after lapse of the turn-on time. Starting operation by repeat of the turn-on time and turn-off time is carried out at the number of times required to rotate the rotor in a normal or positive direction.
