The plurality of adjacent chute segments includes a rear chute segment, an intermediate chute segment and a front chute segment, each of which is pivotally connected to an adjacent chute segment. The linkage system includes a plurality of links that interconnect the adjacent chute segments, and an actuator that is adapted to cause the discharge chute to be steered to the left by pivoting the intermediate chute segment to the left with respect to the adjacent rear chute segment, and to cause the discharge chute to be steered to the right by pivoting the intermediate chute segment to the right with respect to the adjacent rear chute segment.

摘要： A flail assembly for use in debarking logs moving in a processing direction includes a debarking assembly having a shaft that is mounted for rotation above the logs moving in the processing direction. A flail having a fixed end is attached to the shaft. The flail has a length that defines an arc of rotation of the free end of the flail as the shaft is rotated. A housing is positioned adjacent the flail. The housing has a center line that is generally aligned with the processing direction, and a deflector vane which extends inwardly towards the arc of rotation of the free end of the flail. The deflector vane serves to direct bark chips that are cast upwardly by the flail away from the center line of the housing.

The drum includes a circumferential wall and a knife that is mounted on the drum. The machine includes a plurality of interchangeable belly bands, each of which is adapted to be removably attached to the frame so as to form a portion of the drum housing and to provide an inner surface that forms a belly band arc portion that is concentric with and of a larger diameter than the circumferential wall of the drum. A first interchangeable bellyband has a smooth inner surface, and a second interchangeable belly band has a plurality of flow interrupters spaced along its inner surface.

摘要： A method of operating a hydraulic system is disclosed. The method includes holding an implement configuration in an orientation. The method also includes sensing a pressure within a chamber of a hydraulic actuator associated with the implement configuration when the implement configuration is in the orientation and comparing a first signal indicative of the first sensed pressure with a first pressure value. The method further includes selecting a first functional relationship from among a plurality of stored functional relationships if the first signal is greater than the first pressure value and selecting a second functional relationship from among the plurality of stored functional relationships if the first signal is less than the first pressure value. The method includes controlling the hydraulic actuator based on the selected functional relationship.

摘要： A knife gate valve is provided with peripheral seals which can be removed for cleaning and inspection without having to remove the valve from the duct or other conduit to which the valve is mounted. The longitudinal seals are pressure loaded and seat against the edge rather than the face of the gate. The seals are shielded from the abrasive effects of the material flowing through the valve by peripheral spaced apart beams which project into the valve opening. A series of cutouts in the beams allows the space between the beams to be cleaned of any accumulated material during reciprocation of the gate.
