    摘要: A storage apparatus 10 includes channel devices (each being CHA_PK 11) and microprocessors (each being MP_PK 12). CHA_PK 11 and MP_PK 12 respectively store therein control information being information designating logical volumes (LDEVs) 171 accessible by respective MP_PKs 12. Upon receipt of an I/O request from a management apparatus 20, CHA_PK 11 transmits, based on the control information stored therein, an I/O command to MP_PK 12 having an access right to a logical volume to which the I/O request is directed. In the storage apparatus 10, MP_PK 12 having received the I/O command from CHA_PK 11 judges based on the control information stored therein whether MP_PK 12 itself has an access right to the logical volume, and transmits the control information therein to CHA_PK 11 when judging that it does not have the access right, whereby the control information in CHA_PK 11 is updated.

    摘要: A storage system comprising a host device, a storage device, a switching device, and a management terminal is provided. The host device has a plurality of first logical blocks. The storage device has a plurality of second logical blocks. The switching device transfers data between the host device and the storage device through a plurality of paths. The management terminal receives information on the first logical blocks from the host device, receives information on the second logical blocks from the storage device, and generates information showing connecting paths between the first logical blocks and the second logical blocks based on the information on the first logical blocks received and the information on the second logical blocks received.     摘要: A personal computer inputs path information for forming a path group and a storage controller manages the path group. For example, a physical path PS#1, a path PS#2 and a path PS#3 are defined as a path group PG#1 and instructed to the storage controller. This indication is stored in a table. Host A recognizes this path group information, too. Host A designates “Persistent Reserve OUT” on the path PS#1. The storage controller recognizes that the path group PG#1 inclusive of this path PS#1 is reserved as a whole. When Host B attempts release this reserve state illegally through a path PS#1 of Host A, Host B issues “Persistent Reserve OUT” command by KEY#1. Because the path PS#1 does not belong to the path group managed by the storage controller, however, the reserve release request is rejected.
