    摘要: A coating apparatus is provided which does not form lines having a constant pitch in applying a coating solution to a web (16) or a sheet medium by using a coating rod (12A, 12B, 12C) or a coating roller (12) even at a high speed. The present invention relates to a coating apparatus for applying a coating solution to a continuously running support medium via a coating rod (12C). A coating rod (12C) is a cylindrical body having an outer surface in which convex sections having a width P1 and concave sections having a width P2 are alternately formed in an axial direction of the surface, so that a series of convex and concave sections having a constant pitch P=P1+P2 are formed. Each of the convex sections includes a flat part having a maximum height roughness (Rz) of 3 μm or less, and the flat part has a width P3 of 0.55 P or more.

    摘要: According to the coating device and method of the invention, coating is performed while the coating liquid is sprayed from the coating liquid supply passage toward the lower surface of the web in a form of a curtain to form a fluid wall of the coating liquid between an exit of the coating liquid supply passage and the lower surface of the web, so that entrained air running with the web can be blocked by the fluid wall. The fluid wall can block entrained air, and therefore, allow stable coating without any defect such as a film cut in a coating film even when the web is run at speed high enough to form a film of entrained air on a web surface and coated.

    摘要: In a circuit for producing an output signal under selective control of a control signal produced by a processor used in combination, a bar code reader and an optical communication receiver comprise in common a first low pass filter having a first cutoff frequency to produce a first low pass filtered signal. The optical communication receiver comprises a first digitizer connected to the first low pass filter for digitizing the first low pass filtered signal to supply a first digital signal to a serial communication unit. The bar code reader comprises a second low pass filter having a second cutoff frequency and connected to the first low pass filter for filtering the first low pass filtered signal to produce a second low pass filtered signal. A second digitizer is connected to the second low pass filter for digitizing the second low pass filtered signal to supply a second digital signal to an interrupt control unit. Alternatively, the second low pass filter may be connected to an input terminal of the first low pass filter instead of an output terminal of the first low pass filter.
