摘要： There is provided a video reproduction apparatus which reduces memory areas for storing video data of decoded bidirectional predictive frames, which apparatus can output the decoded video signals of the entire fields even when all the video signals are outputted by the reproduction in the temporally reverse-direction or the reproduction of searching for arbitrary pictures.When reproducing the video data in the temporally reverse direction or searching for arbitrary pictures, if display and output are performed from one of the first and second memory areas (201,202) and the decoded video data of two non-bidirectional predictive frames must be stored simultaneously in a third memory area (203) and the other one of the first and second memory areas by the time when the video data to be displayed next is decoded, the currently displayed decoded video data is reduced and stored in the third memory area, and the decoded video data of the two non-bidirectional predictive frames are simultaneously stored in the first and second memory areas while the reduced data is displayed and outputted from the third memory area.

摘要： In modifying a program fixedly recorded in a ROM or the like, desired positions in the program can be modified with a little hardware. In order to achieve the object, the program modification device comprises the modifying address register 17 which stores the addresses of program data to be modified prior to the execution of the data and the modifying address storage table 19 which stores all the addresses of the modification source programs to be loaded to the modifying address register 17 and all the addresses of the modification target programs in pairs, and further comprises a modification target program having instructions embedded therein so as to load necessary information from the modifying address storage table 19 to the modifying address register 17 before the program to be modified is executed.

摘要： The demodulated signal from the optical disk, containing a plurality of addresses is supplied to the address decoder which sets error detection flags when address decoding fails. If all addresses fail to decode, an address interpolator performs address interpolation up to a stored maximum number of iterations, thereby allowing data to be continuously read out from the demodulated signal. The maximum number is stored in memory. If at least one address is decoded, the address interpolator selectively updates the stored maximum number to achieve higher performance in reproducing data items from the optical disk.
