Abstract: A crankcase compression, two cycle, internal combustion engine including an arrangement for facilitating starting by reducing the viscosity of lubricant which may remain on the cylinder bore after engine shut down. This viscosity decrease is accomplished by adding a low viscosity fluid through the cylinder bore during starting if the temperature of the engine is below a predetermined amount.
