Abstract:
A multi-head film slitter slits wide film having a photosensitive emulsion layer oriented upwards to produce motion picture film. A lower rotary blade has a lower cutting edge. An upper rotary blade has an upper cutting edge, for shearing the wide film with the lower cutting edge. The upper and lower cutting edges are overlapped partially, and contact one another in a position downstream in a running direction of the wide film. A clearance is provided between the upper and lower cutting edges in a position upstream in the running direction. Also, a lower blade shaft rotates the lower blade. An upper blade shaft is disposed higher than the lower blade shaft, for rotating the upper blade. The clearance is provided by inclining the upper blade shaft on a plane on which the upper blade shaft lies and which is parallel with the wide film.
Abstract:
An aluminum alloy sheet for high-speed high-temperature blow forming has an aluminum alloy containing 4 to 5% of Mg, 0.35 to 0.5% of Mn and 0.001 to 0.05% of Cr, 0.6% or less of Si+Fe, 0.15% or less of Cu, and the balance being substantially Al. The aluminum alloy sheet has an elongation of 150% or more in a high-temperature tensile test at 400 to 550° C. and at a strain rate of 10−2/second or more, has a cavitation area percentage of 2% or less at the time of 100% tensile deformation, and is free from any abnormally grown grains of 100 microns or more. A formed piece of the aluminum alloy sheet also has a cavitation area percentage of 2% or less when blow-formed at 400 to 550° C. and at a reduction in sheet thickness of 65% or less, and is free from any abnormally grown grains of 100 microns or more.
Abstract:
A protective cover (13) for a taking lens is provided in the front of a lens-fitted photo film unit. The protective cover cooperates with a shutter locking mechanism which locks a shutter button (4) when the protective cover is in a closed position in front of the taking lens. The protective cover also cooperates with a flash prevention mechanism which turns off a flash charge switch off when the protective cover moves in the closed position, prevents the flash charge switch from being moved to its ON position so long as the protective cover is in the closed position, and allows the flash charge switch to be moved to the ON position when the protective cover is moved away from the taking lens. The protective cover is slidable in a horizontal direction on a front surface portion of the film unit, and the front surface portion is straight in the horizontal direction. The protective cover has a vertical length that does not interfere with a bottom lid (12) that is provided for removal of an exposed photo filmstrip. A first label is stuck on a front surface of the protective cover, and a second label is wrapped around the film unit excluding the front surface portion the protective cover slide thereon, to decorate and dust-proof the film unit and reinforce the unit housing.
Abstract:
A shutter device for a camera includes a shutter blade for providing an exposure by opening/shutting a photographic light path, and a shutter drive lever for driving the shutter blade. The shutter device includes a shutter release button. A photometric switch is turned on in response to depression of the shutter release button. A photometric circuit is operated by turning on of the photometric switch, for measuring object brightness. An aperture stop changeover mechanism changes over an aperture stop of the photographic light path according to the photographic light path. A delay structure such as a delay lever detects completion of actuation of the aperture stop changeover mechanism and responsively moves the shutter drive lever.
Abstract:
A lens-fitted photo film unit has a photo film roll chamber (131) and a cassette containing chamber (17, 133). The roll chamber contains photo film (18) wound in a form of a roll. The cassette containing chamber contains a cassette (16). The photo film is wound into the cassette as much as one frame each time one frame is exposed. A bottom lid (30, 137) covers a bottom of the cassette containing chamber, and is opened to remove the cassette from the cassette containing chamber with the photo film included therein. A stopper projection (34) prevents the cassette from dropping out of the cassette containing chamber in removal of the cassette after opening the bottom lid. In a preferred embodiment, a hinge portion (30b, 142) connects the bottom lid (30, 137) to a rear cover (138) by way of a single piece and in swingable fashion. The hinge portion is defined by a first groove (146) formed in an obverse face of the rear cover, and a second groove (147) formed in a reverse face of the rear cover. The second groove is parallel with the first groove, and deviated from the first groove in a width direction thereof.
Abstract:
A lens-fitted photo film unit has a cassette containing chamber and a photo film roll chamber. The cassette containing chamber contains a cassette. The cassette has a spool and a cassette shutter. A photo film is secured to the spool contained in the cassette in a rotatable manner. The cassette shutter is incorporated in a rotatable manner between a closed position to block a photo film passage port and an open position to open the photo film passage port. The lens-fitted photo film unit has a rotatable photo film winding wheel, of which a wheel portion is disposed above the cassette containing chamber, and externally rotated after a frame on the photo film is exposed. A first rotational shaft projects downwards from the wheel portion, and is engaged with the spool through a top wall of the cassette containing chamber. The wheel portion is rotated to wind the photo film into the cassette. A rotating member has a second rotational shaft, is connected with the cassette shutter through the top wall of the cassette containing chamber, and rotates the cassette shutter from the open position to the closed position. Arc-like ridges project on the top wall of the cassette containing chamber, and support the wheel portion thereon. The wheel portion is located away from the top wall of the cassette containing chamber. The rotating member is contained between the wheel portion and the top wall at least partially.
Abstract:
A digital speech interpolation (DSI) system serves multiple PCM channels by multiplexing them to a single PCM signal, detecting the presence of speech on individual channels according to an adaptive power threshold, removing silent portions of the channel signals, and recombining them into a signal with fewer channels. A central echo canceler is provided between the DSI transmitter and the multiplexer, thus eliminating the need for a separate echo protection device at each terminal. The central echo canceler provides information to the speech detector enabling the speech dectector to avoid updating the adaptive power threshold when center clipping or double-talk occurs, thus preventing erratic speech detection performance. The speech detector also has a hangover controller that prevents speech dropouts by prolonging speech dectect intervals by an amount that is adjusted according to the length of the interval, and according to the current adaptive power threshold; this form of control enables a constant activity ratio to be maintained under varying noise levels. Benefits include improved communication quality and reduced system cost.

Abstract:
An anti-reverse claw is in mesh with a winding dial of a lens-fitted photo film unit. The anti-reverse claw has a pair of welded pieces. The welded pieces go behind a rear cover of the lens-fitted photo film through a pair of holes formed in the rear cover. After assembling, a welding head is applied to the rear side of the rear cover to apply heat. The welded pieces and a separation plate are melted and mixed together, so that the anti-reverse claw is firmly fixed to the rear cover.
