Abstract:
The inventions refers to a method of manufacture of a multilayer ceramic shell mould whereof at least one contact layer, one intermediate layer and several reinforcing layers, out of a wax master pattern or other similar material, consists in performing the following successive operations: dipping in a first slip containing ceramic particles and a binder, depositing sand particles onto said layer and drying said contact layer, in order to form said contact layer, dipping in a second slip containing ceramic particles and a binder, depositing sand particles onto said intermediate layer and in drying said layer, in order to form said intermediate layer, dipping in at least a third slip containing ceramic particles and a binder, depositing sand particles onto said layer, drying said layer, in order to form a reinforcing layer, the formation of reinforcing layers being repeated until obtaining a shell mould of set thickness. characterised in that the ceramic particles of the slips comprise a refractory oxide or a mixture of zircon-less refractory oxides, whereas no layer contains any zircon. Such method is characterised in that the ceramic particles of the slips comprise a refractory oxide or a mixture of zircon-less refractory oxides,
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of manufacture of a multilayer ceramic shell mould whereof at least one contact layer out of a wax master pattern or a part to be manufactured, or other similar material, consisting in dipping the master pattern in a first slip containing ceramic particles and a binder, in order to form said contact layer, in depositing the sable particles onto said layer and in drying said contact layer. The method is characterised in that the ceramic particles of the slip are mullite particles.
Abstract:
In a method and apparatus for grading carcasses, a carcass is rested on a support along a lengthwise face of the carcass as well as along a dorsal face, near the lower part thereof, namely near the part located toward the animal's neck. The support is pivoted for positioning the carcass angularly to take images from various angles at the hindquarters, thigh, upper part of the backbone, and front part of the carcass corresponding to the lower zone thereof. The recorded images are stored in the memory of a computer which already contains the weight and length measurements of the carcass. The support is retracted to remove the carcass from the surface on which it rests. The recorded image information is compared with stored theoretical data to grade the carcass. The support can be a belt forming a first resting surface with a movable flap forming the second surface or an element with two fixed surfaces. The support is moved vertically to optimize its support of the carcass.
Abstract:
A method of manufacture of a multilayer ceramic shell mould whereof at least one contact layer out of a wax master pattern or a part to be manufactured, or other similar material, includes a step of preparing a first slip containing ceramic particles and a binder; a step of dipping the master pattern in a first slip; a step of forming the contact layer, and a step of depositing sand particles particles onto the layer and drying the contact layer. The ceramic particles of the slip are mullite particles and the slip includes a texturing agent.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing a product comprising a support having a long-acting adhesive and a protective tape disposed thereon, so that said adhesive can be used at a later time. The inventive method is characterised in that it consists in: determining a reference plane (P) which is close to the location of the adhesive deposit and which is either below the plane containing the lower face of the support or above the plane containing the upper face of said support; establishing the distance (D) separating the reference plane (P) and the level (N) at which the adhesive (2) is delivered, which is close to the plane containing the application face of the support; delivering the long-acting adhesive (2); delivering a protective tape (20) which is disposed on top of the adhesive (2) either simultaneously using a prefabricated transfer tape or separately; moving the support in relation to the deposit station; exerting a transverse force on the support such that one of the faces thereof is applied continuously against the reference plane (P); and exerting a pressure, counter to the transverse force, on the protective tape (20) and the adhesive (2).
