A circuit arrangement having at least one analog switch, which is operated by a supply voltage and which comprises a switching signal contact and a pair of switch contacts, whereby applied to the switching signal contact is an electrical switching signal depending on which an electrical connection can be switched between the switch contacts whose internal on-resistance is temperature dependent, whereby the circuit arrangement has in the vicinity of the at least one analog switch at least one additional similar reference analog switch, which is operated with the same common supply voltage and which is controlled such that the switch contacts thereof are/can be connected continuously via the internal temperature-dependent on-resistance thereof, whereby at least one comparison circuit is provided by means of which depending on the comparison of the internal on-resistance of the at least one reference analog switch with at least one external reference resistance or an otherwise setpoint setting of the reference analog switch(es), at least one control signal can be/is generated, by means of which the internal on-resistance of the at least one reference analog switch can be kept constant by changing the common supply voltage of all analog switches depending on the control signal, particularly can be adjusted to the at least one reference resistance, or the otherwise formed setpoint setting of the reference analog switch(es).

A circuit arrangement for simulating a sensor includes two external connections configured to change at least one of a current intensity and a resistance between the two external connections as a function of a measured variable. The circuit arrangement comprises: (a) a current path connecting the two external connections having two field-effect transistors and a resistor, and (b) a circuit configured to actuate gates of the two field-effect transistors so as to at least one of control and regulate a current through the current path, wherein the resistor is configured as a shunt resistor connected to a bridge rectifier and the circuit configured to actuate the gates of the two field-effect transistors comprises a control circuit configured to detect and regulate the current in the current path via a voltage drop at the shunt resistor.

A method for galvanically isolated transmission of a signal, especially a switching signal for controlling at least one switching means includes using a transformer. The primary side of a transformer is fed with a pulse-width modulated voltage in which different duty factors are indicative of different signal states. The voltage obtained on the secondary side is converted by an electronic circuit into at least one signal voltage which is dependent on the duty factor and whose magnitude represents a signal state.

An oral care system (1) comprising a sonic power toothbrush (2) which comprises a body (3), a brush member (4) mounted on the body (3), a brush head (5) which is supported by the brush member (4) at its end remote from the body (3) so as to be able to vibrate relative to the body (3) and which is provided with bristles (6) and an additive outlet (7), an additive container (8) connected to said additive outlet (7), driving means (9) for generating sonic frequency vibrations, and transmission means (29) for transmitting said sonic frequency vibrations to the brush head (5), wherein the toothbrush (2) comprises at least one further additive container (18). Instead of the user having to apply a first and a second additive manually to the brush head (5), these additives are already incorporated into the sonic-power toothbrush (2), which benefits the user-friendliness of the device. The application of the additives to the teeth is realized in an effective manner, while the sonic frequency vibrations enhance the effect of the additives.

A printed circuit board apparatus, configurations and methods are presented which provide for close spacing between the HUB and multiple processors as well as a common configuration for two or four processor boards. A printed circuit board is provided with conductive apertures and portions corresponding to an efficient Packaging allowing for the attachment of the processor-chip on one side of the printed circuit board, and the HUB and other supporting electronic components on the other side of the printed circuit board. This configuration allows for the close spacing of the electrical conductors of the HUB and the processors without the limitations imposed by the physical dimensions of the respective hardware. Additionally, a symmetric packaging of the conductive apertures and portions about a centerline of the printed circuit board allows for a simple design modification to allow for a two two-processor board to be manufactured from a similarly configured four-processor board.

A heat sink assembly for securing a heat sink to a chip on a circuit board using a clip to secure the heat sink to the chip. The assembly includes a pair of support beams, a clip attached to the pair of support beams, and a heat sink. Optionally, the assembly also includes a plurality of bias members biased between the heat sink and the circuit board and a pair of positioning pins positioned between the heat sink and the circuit board. The clip is biased between the heat sink and the pair of support beams. The clip has a plate having a first end and a second end with the first end having an aperture for fastening the first end to a first support beam and the second end having a hook for fastening the second end to a second support beam. Optionally, the clip is made of spring steel and provides a downward biasing force of between about 3 psi and about 25 psi and preferably about 10 psi.
