The invention furthermore relates to a cartridge (8) for use with an appliance for personal care (3), said cartridge comprising a space for storage of an auxiliary fluid and an outlet opening for coupling the cartridge to said appliance, wherein the cartridge comprises means (83) for cooperating with the engagement means (73) of the sealing element (72) of the coupling structure (7), and to a system comprising such an appliance and such a cartridge.
Abstract:
A pumping system for an oral composition, having selected rheological properties, useful in oral treatment. The pumping system has defined rheological characteristics to move such an oral composition from a reservoir to an outlet of the system at a given rate.
Abstract:
An ornament (20) for a vehicle antenna (22) includes a rigid, non-planar body (24) arranged substantially vertical relative to the antenna (22). The body (24) has discrete first and second apertures (28, 30). The first aperture (28) is located at a lower extremity (32) of the body (24) and the second aperture (30) is located at an upper extremity (34) of the body. The ornament (20) fits loosely on the antenna (22) so that the ornament (20) can swing around the antenna (22) in response to wind currents.
Abstract:
A grinding method for grinding spherical rollers is disclosed, wherein the roller has a spherical main diameter and a spherical end form ground thereon, and both spherical forms are ground on the same fixturing set-up. The workpiece is carried on a pair of locating shoes and the pre-ground flat end is driven with a magnetic face driver. A grinding wheel spindle carries first and second wheel forms for forming the roller spherical surfaces, and the surfaces are ground sequentially by feeding the first spherical form radially into the workpiece to grind the diameter, and thereafter axially shifting the wheel spindle to present the second wheel form in position where it is radially fed into the workpiece to grind the spherical end form of the roller.
Abstract:
The fluid-dispensing power toothbrush includes a selected toothbrush architecture, generally, a handle portion, a head portion which is removable from the handle portion and a fluid-dispensing system which is removable with the head portion. The fluid-dispensing portion includes a pump and a fluid reservoir, with the reservoir being removable from the pump. The entire reservoir extends down along an exterior surface of the handle, below the lower edge of the head portion. A cover member overlies and mates with the handle, covering the reservoir when the cover member is in a closed position.

Abstract:
In a toothbrush having a brush member which carries a bristle holder with a bristle field and an interdental bristle holder with an interdental bristle field, the bristle field comprises a first field portion and a second field portion, the first field portion being disposed nearer the interdental bristle field than the second field portion and the bristles of the first field portion being shorter than the interdental bristles and the bristles of the second field portion being longer than the bristles of the first field portion and thus at the same time form interdental bristles.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for dressing adjacent faces on a grinding wheel. A single point dressing nib and a rotary dressing wheel are mounted to a common slide oriented with its slide axis parallel to a first face on the grinding wheel. As the slide is actuated, the nib is drawn across the first face of the grinding wheel, dressing the entire face. After the single point nib traverses the first face of the grinding wheel, the rotary dressing wheel is activated and brought into engagement with a second face on the grinding wheel, adjacent to the first face. A cam is provided on the base which carries the slide, so that a tracing stylus will follow the shape of the cam and transmit the cam profile to the dressing nib as it traverses its path. In this manner, therefore, an extremely accurate profile may be dressed on a first face of the grinding wheel, and a second, potentially wear-causing face may be dressed into the grinding wheel by a dressing wheel yet the rotary dressing wheel will not introduce vibrational inaccuracies into the first face.
Abstract:
A circuit arrangement for simulating a sensor includes two external connections configured to change at least one of a current intensity and a resistance between the two external connections as a function of a measured variable. The circuit arrangement comprises: (a) a current path connecting the two external connections having two field-effect transistors and a resistor, and (b) a circuit configured to actuate gates of the two field-effect transistors so as to at least one of control and regulate a current through the current path, wherein the resistor is configured as a shunt resistor connected to a bridge rectifier and the circuit configured to actuate the gates of the two field-effect transistors comprises a control circuit configured to detect and regulate the current in the current path via a voltage drop at the shunt resistor.
