A method of recognizing an object in an image is provided, the method comprises the following steps. The image having the object is provided, and principal traits of the object are encoded in order to generate a first trait code. The first trait code is compared with data stored in a database so as to obtain a plurality of differences. A minimum of the plurality of differences is found. This method can be applied to synthesize human faces.

An electronic environment sensing instrument having an analog indicator has a casing having a front panel with a scale, an electronic sensing and driving assembly mounted in the casing, a needle and a DC power supply. The electronic driving indicator assembly has a detecting and driving circuit to sense and measure an environmental parameter outside the casing and generates a control signal, a drive unit to receive the control signal and rotate a specific amount in a specific direction based on the control signal and a gear assembly connected to and driven by the drive unit. The needle is attached to and driven by the gear assembly and points to a specific value on the scale corresponding to the sensed environmental parameter.

An exemplary method for determining a control output in a control domain includes: obtaining a control input of an input domain, wherein the control input includes a previous input value and a current input value; and dynamically adjusting a control resolution setting, and converting the control input of the input domain into the control output in the control domain according to the control resolution setting, wherein the control output includes a previous output value and a current output value corresponding to the previous input value and the current input value, respectively, the control resolution setting for the current input value is determined according to at least the previous input value, and the current output value is identical to the previous output value when the current input value and the previous input value are generated in response to a same user input.
