    摘要: An occupancy sensor is provided with a separable override unit to selectively override the operation of the occupancy sensor at designated times and for selected time intervals. The occupancy sensor includes a light sensor for actuating the occupancy sensor and a light assembly when the ambient light is below a predetermined level and to deactivate the occupancy sensor when the ambient light is above a threshold level. The override unit having a light source is removably attached to the occupancy sensor. The override unit is coupled to the occupancy sensor to emit light to actuate the light sensor of the occupancy sensor, thereby preventing the occupancy sensor from being actuated regardless of the light level in the surrounding areas. A control unit is operatively connected to one or more override units for selectively controlling the normal operation of the occupancy sensor.

    摘要: An occupancy sensor is provided with a housing having an interior cavity. A switch is mounted in the interior cavity of the housing and configured for placement in the open and closed positions. A fascia cover plate may be positioned on the housing to enclose the interior cavity. The fascia cover plate has a fascia rib on an interior surface thereof. The fascia rib is arranged to interfere with the switch in the disabled state to prevent positioning of the fascia cover plate on the housing.

    摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems are provided concerning modular lamp controllers. In one embodiment, a modular lamp controller dims a high intensity discharge lamp based upon occupancy. The lamp has a port within its fixture, and the port is coupled to a lamp capacitor. The modular lamp controller includes a housing, a plug, a capacitor, a switch, an occupancy sensor, a switch controller, a power supply, an interchangeable lens assembly, and a mounting adapter assembly. The plug is adapted to connect to the port. The capacitor couples in series with the lamp capacitor when the plug is attached to the port. The switch defines a full and reduced power state of the lamp. The occupancy sensor generates a signal indicating the presence of an occupant within a monitored space. The switch controller operates the switch to activate the full or reduced power state of the lamp based upon the occupancy signal. The power supply operates using current from the lamp when the plug is attached to the port. The interchangeable lens assembly acts as optics for the occupancy sensor, and the mounting adapter assembly mounts and locks the modular lamp controller into position.

    摘要: Kits and methods and apparatus are provided for retrofitting a lamp for use with a modular lamp controller. In a representative embodiment, a kit includes a port connector, a first portion of a port adapter, a second portion of a port adapter, and a lock nut. The port connector is configured to accept a plug of the modular lamp controller. The first portion of a port adapter has a threaded section. The second portion of the port adapter has a threaded section. The first and second portions are configured to be placed in opposing relation about the port connector to securely surround the port connector while fitting into an opening within a fixture of the lamp. The lock nut screws onto the threaded sections of the first and second portions of the port adapter while placed in opposing relation surrounding the port connector to secure the port adapter and port connector within the opening.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for mounting and aligning a modular lamp controller. A representative embodiment includes a mounting adapter assembly and a laser alignment tool. The mounting adapter assembly is configured to couple to a housing of the modular lamp controller and includes a jam nut and a mounting adapter. The mounting adapter includes internal threads for connecting to a mounting pipe, external threads for locating the jam nut, and a step configured to revolve around an axis of the mounting adapter. The step is configured to rotatably lock the housing. The laser alignment tool is configured to couple to the housing and includes a bracket configured to couple to the housing and a laser coupled to the bracket.
