摘要: Embodiments of a system, apparatus and method for sharing wireless connection profiles between multiple OSs are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a first wireless connection may be established between a wireless communication device and an access point of a wireless network or one or more other devices of a peer-to-peer networking group while the wireless communication device is running in an OS. A wireless connection profile for the first wireless connection may be stored in a shared profiles storage associated with the device, and then may be retrieved from the shared profiles storage responsive to the device being booted in a different OS. A second wireless connection may be automatically established between the device booted in the different OS and the access point or the one or more other devices using the wireless connection profile retrieved from the shared profiles storage.

摘要: Computing device deployment and configuration using a mass storage device is provided. A generic computing device is provided to a customer or end user. A mass storage device is used to distribute configuration information to the generic computing device. The configuration information includes customer-specified or ordered software applications or other features. The configuration information can also include updates to the computing device system software. The customer or end user couples the mass storage device to the generic computing device in order to load the configuration information into the computing device. After the configuration information is loaded, the computing device is configured for the customer's use. Further features, such as creating customized images, are also provided.

摘要: A functional electrical stimulation system (30) for moving at least a portion of a body of a subject (12), such as their legs (13, 13a). The system is adapted to monitor its performance and/or the outcome of the provision of stimulation to the subject (12) and assess whether the body portion is showing evidence of fatigue. The system (30) comprises a stimulator (35) that can provide a plurality of sets of functional electrical stimulation to the legs, one or more transducers (60, 61) that outputs signals representative of the movement made by the legs in response to the functional electrical stimulation provided thereto, and a control means (32). The control means (32) receives and processes the signals output by the transducers (60, 61) and includes a comparator adapted to compare the output signals of the transducers resulting from the provision of two or more substantially equivalent sets of electrical stimulation to the legs and provide an output indicative of variation in the movement. The comparator of the control means (32) can also compare the level of electrical stimulation output by the stimulator (35) to achieve an equivalent movement of the legs. An increase in stimulation to achieve such equivalent can be interpreted by the control means as indicative of fatigue in the muscles of the legs.
