摘要： A metal frame system for use as a door frame, window frame and the like utilizing vertical frame members adapted for attachment to wood or steel studs, employs unique wedge member sets comprising pairs of complementary shaped wedges. Each of wedge members has two wedges of generally congruent shape but having inverted interface surfaces, one such interface surface abutting the other in compressive contiguous relation whereby to fill the space between the vertical member and the underlying wood stud. Linear movement of one wedge relative to the other provides an expedient adjustment capability for fitting the frame system into the study assembly. Rotation of one wedge relative to the other provides a convenient way of compensating for irregular wood or steel stud surfaces that might otherwise prevent proper orientation of the forms relation to the studs.

摘要： A spring pivot joint comprises two face plates with heavy serrations or ribs between them, both sandwiched between Belville springs or spring washers, the washers being held in a strongly stressed condition by a hollow rivet. The face plates have integral wings or tabs extending radially beyond the washers for attachment to the companion mannequin parts to be jointed. Since the rivets are hollow, a simple rod can extend through a plurality of them to hold them in coaxial alignment while being attached to the jointed mannequin parts.

摘要： A tubular frame element is telescoped over a bracket to which it is to be connected. The frame element has an aperture for receiving a latching projection. The projection is formed on a strip of spring steel held against the inside surface of the bracket. The strip has its opposite ends held by straps struck inwardly from the bracket. The strip is formed so that it may be assembled by inserting one end of the strip under one strap, then bowing the strip so that its other end is positioned to be received by the other strap, and then shifting the strip until the latching projection snaps into an aperture of the bracket whereby the strip is locked in place. The anchoring of the strip at places spaced closely on opposite sides of the projection provides a stiff spring action adequate to ensure against accidental release of the connector structure.

摘要： An animal-containment device that enables quick and easy containment, such as bathing, of a household pet. The device includes a basin that may be easily manufactured in a unitary piece. The basin includes at least one adjustable strap attached between the sides of the basin. The strap is secured in elongated slots along the sides of the basin over the back of the pet being bathed. A central hump is formed on the basin floor that conforms substantially to the underbelly of the pet. The hump prevents the pet from sitting down during the bathing process. An adjustable collar restraint strap is attached to an additional slot. The collar restraint strap is attachable to a standard pet collar. The pet is immobilized by way of the hump and adjustable straps. A drain with a removable plug is included at the bottom of the basin that is attachable to a standard garden hose for removal of bath water. Assorted bathing accessories are also included for attachment around the lip of the basin.

摘要： Tubular frame structures such as for furniture, cabinets, display stands or the like comprise square tubular metal elements held together by a series of right angle connector structures. The improved connector comprises a channel having one end fixedly attached to a first frame element. A second frame element telescopes over the channel. A jack screw, accessible through a hole in the second frame element, engages a bowed toggle spring to force the sides of the channel apart. Engagement is established at two corners at the ends of one side of the frame while the reaction is sustained by the base of the channel.

摘要： A prefabricated door frame includes two vertical frame elements and a header element, each of channel shaped configuration with side flanges encompassing the wall at the edges of a wall opening. One of the vertical frame elements is secured by the aid of threaded fasteners passing through the jamb face of the frame element and into the rough frame member. Heads of the fasteners prevent movement of the frame element away from the rough frame member. After appropriate adjustment to plumb the frame element, cover plates are attached to the jamb face and overlie the screw heads thus to secure the frame element in its adjusted position. The header and other vertical frame element are positioned by the aid of registry clips inserted at the ends of the header element and the upper ends of the vertical frame elements. A jack screw captured behind the stop of the other vertical frame element reacts against the rough frame member to clamp the header element in place and thus determine the nominal spacing of the vertical frame elements. Another threaded fastener passes through the jamb face of the other frame element and into the rough frame member. The head of this fastener is clamped by a cover plate and thus secures the other vertical frame element in position.

摘要： A security device for a door structure comprises a simple bracket that surrounds the retractable latch element at the edge of the door, the bracket having a return extending along the inside of the door, stopping short of the inside latch or lock actuator. A resilient pad is interposed between the return and the door. The bracket is connected to the latch element, either directly or indirectly upon imposition of a break in force so that, immediately upon imposition of a kick force adjacent the lock, the latch element engages the bracket, thus transmitting the force to the inside return, and through the shock absorber to the inside part of the edge frame member.
