    摘要： A system and method for enhancing the Electronic Out Of Box Experience (eOOBE) for individuals who are ordering a new or replacement device from the device manufacturer. The user is able to select an option to complete the eOOBE setup prior to receiving the new device, where the new device may be a computer, phone, PDA, or other electronic device. An application such as an applet is downloaded from the manufacturer and the application collects device settings and user preferences, as well as file system information, storing the information to a file on the local device file system. This gathered information may include acquiescence to Electronic User License Agreements (EULA), such that these licenses may be pre-configured with the user's agreement before the device is shipped to the user. The collected information is encrypted and sent to the manufacturer, where the manufacturer then builds and configures the new device in accordance with the received data file. The new device is delivered to the user and the user is able to operate the new device in fully configured and activated mode directly out of the manufacturers shipping container. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

    摘要： Triamcinolone compositions, and methods of using such compositions, useful for injection into the vitreous of human eyes are provided. Such compositions can include triamcinolone particles present in a therapeutically effective amount, a viscosity inducing component, and an aqueous carrier component. The compositions have viscosities of at least about 10 cps or about 100 cps at a shear rate of 0.1/second. In a preferred embodiment, the viscosity is in the range of from about 80,000 cps to about 300,000 cps. The compositions advantageously suspend the triamcinolone particles for prolonged periods of time.

The present compositions include one or more components which are effective in providing a reduced toxicity relative to existing intraocular ophthalmic compositions. The present compositions include one or more therapeutic agents in amounts effective in providing a desired therapeutic effect when placed in an eye, and one or more retinal friendly excipients that have a reduced toxicity relative to benzyl alcohol or polysorbate 80. In certain compositions, the excipient component of the compositions comprises one or more cyclodextrins or cyclodextrin derivatives. Methods of using the compositions to treat ocular conditions are also described.

Another aspect of this invention relates to topical ophthalmic formulations comprising an active drug, a cyclodextrin or cyclodextrin derivative, and a viscosity-enhancing agent, in effective amounts as stated above.
