摘要： A portable light may comprise a light body and a light head rotatable relative to the light body. The light head may comprise a light source that may be pivotable relative to a base of the light head. The light source may be electrically connected to the light body by rotatable coaxial connections between the light head and the light body and by rotatable coaxial electrical connections between the base of the light head and the light source. The light may optionally further comprise a hanger movable relative to the light body, or may comprise one or more magnets on the light body, or may comprise a clip on the light body, or a combination thereof.

摘要： A keyed mounting arrangement for a light or other object mountable on a mounting rail having a keying feature may comprise a body containing operating elements; a clamping arrangement including clamp members on the body for clamping and releasing the mounting rail; and a keying member removably disposed in a recess located on the body in a predetermined location and having a keying feature that engages the keying feature of the mounting rail when the body is clamped to the mounting rail. Where the object is mountable on mounting rails having keying features of different sizes and shapes, the keying member may be selected from a set of keying members for having a keying feature of a size and shape that corresponds to the size and shape of the keying feature of the mounting rail.

At least three concentric and/or coaxial electrical contacts of the head are enclosed by the head and light body when the head and light body are engaged. One of the three concentric electrical contacts may provide an electrical connection to the light source and one of the three concentric electrical contacts may be for making an electrical connection to an electrical power source.

摘要： An electrical light or flashlight may comprise: a housing for receiving a battery; an electrical light source in the housing; an electrical switch including an electrically conductive flexible dome providing a switch contact; a controller for selectively coupling electrical power from a battery to the electrical light source, responsive to the electrical switch for selectively energizing and de-energizing the electrical light source, wherein said controller is programmable responsive to closures or openings or both of the electrical switch, or to a time therebetween, or to continuous closure or opening thereof, or to a combination thereof, for operating the light source in predetermined operating states, and wherein the light source is selectively energizable and de-energizable in predetermined operating states responsive to the electrical switch.

An actuator is movable for exerting force on the first and second switch elements, wherein the flexible dome of the first switch element makes connection to a first electrical conductor when the actuator moves a first distance and the flexible dome of the second switch element makes the electrical connection to a second electrical conductor when the actuator moves a second distance in addition to the first distance.

摘要： An electrical switch may comprise a base having three electrical conductors thereon and an electrically conductive flexible dome adjacent the base. The flexible dome has plural longer legs extending from its dome and in electrical contact with a first conductor, has a shorter leg extending from its dome and overlying a second conductor, and has its dome overlying a third conductor. A pushbutton must be moved over a distance substantially greater than an actuation distance of the flexible dome to apply sufficient force to cause the shorter leg to contact the second conductor and the dome to contact the third conductor. A spring between the pushbutton and the flexible dome couples force to the flexible dome.

摘要： An electrical switch arrangement comprises at least one actuator for selectively making and breaking an electrical connection between electrical contacts thereof, and an indicator light source for selectively producing light. A switch housing supports the actuator so that the actuator may be actuated, and covers the indicator light source. The switch housing is translucent and/or transparent to light produced by the indicator light source so that the indicator light source is visible through the switch housing when the indicator light source is producing light.
