摘要： A second lamp is connected to power terminals upon each alternate switching off of a first lamp so that, upon each alternate switching on of the first lamp, the second lamp is illuminated. A magnetic latching relay switches the second lamp into and out of the circuit. The relay is powered by the discharge of one of two capacitors. One capacitor powers a set circuit of the latching relay, and another capacitor powers a reset circuit. Only one of the capacitors is charged at any one time. While power is applied to the power terminals to illuminate the first light, one capacitor is held discharged while the other capacitor is charged in preparation for powering the latching relay. The discharge of the charged capacitor through the latching relay is controlled electronically by a triac having a control terminal which is brought to control voltage by a fourth capacitor after a third capacitor has been discharged over a predetermined short time.

摘要： One end of an elongated flexible strap is connected to a screw base. The strap extends downward through a central opening in a cover and in a reflector. After the screw base is threaded into a socket, a friction ring is pushed upward along the flexible strap, drawing the reflector up and a trim ring tight against the ceiling which surrounds the recessed fixture. The friction ring holds the lamp and reflector upward on the strap, without stretching the strap and without pulling downward on the screw base with a force substantially greater than a weight of the reflector and trim ring. While the friction ring holds the lamp on the strap, a gripper is moved into position beneath the friction ring to permanently support the friction ring. The strap is then clipped below the gripper.

摘要： An improved lamp switching circuit for switching on a second lamp circuit upon every alternate application of power to a first lamp circuit. A magnetic latching relay alternately connects and disconnects the second lamp circuit in parallel with the first whenever power to the circuit is switched off. The relay is powered by the discharge of one of two capacitors, which respectively operate a set circuit and a reset circuit of the latching relay. Only one of the capacitors is charged at any time. While power is applied to the lamp circuits, one capacitor is charged while the other is kept discharged, in preparation for operation of the latching relay. When power is switched off, a control circuit senses this condition and triggers a thyristor to discharge the capacitor through the corresponding relay coil after a short predetermined time delay. A low voltage regulated power supply is derived from the a.c. power to provide the power needed by the control circuit and to charge the capacitors, making the circuit operation reliable over a wide range of supply voltages and temperatures.

The invention generally comprises a recessed horizontal groove located upon a vertical planar surface which is covered by the holding assembly. The holding assembly comprises a vertical planar cover, the bottom edge of which participates in the holding. An object to be held is slipped between the bottom edge and the vertical planar surface and extended into the groove. Whereupon gravity means holds the object in a hanging fashion.

A light is mounted at the top surface, and a power source for energizing the light is disposed within the cavity and electrically connected to the light. In an embodiment, the switch closes, completing the circuit and momentarily illuminating the light, upon impact of the face with a golf ball. In another embodiment, the switch closes to momentarily illuminate the light upon impact of a golf ball at approximately the center of the face.

摘要： Ceiling lights have recessed cans with sockets mounted centrally on a resilient, usually cantilevered, support. A lamp with an integrally connected reflector and external trim ring are connected to the socket. The resilient support pulls the trim ring up against an area of the ceiling surrounding the recessed can, causing the trim ring to act as a self-leveling device for the lamp, while functioning in the manner as a suitable trim for covering the unsightly hole in the ceiling which accommodates the recessed can or fixture. This arrangement allows the near-maximum use of the diametrical width of the opening provided by the recessed fixture as a means of projecting more usable light downward.
