摘要： As regards a surface light source device for use with back-light or the like of a transmissive display panel, the efficiency of the cooling structure for the device will be improved and dust and dirt will be prevented from adhering.The surface light source device has a housing, a diffuser panel, a reflective plate, lamps, and an electric circuit portion. The housing has a window portion located ahead, a base portion located behind and side portions forming a flat space by connecting the two. The diffuser panel is mounted to the window portion of the housing. The reflective plate is supported by the side portions and partitions the flat space into a closed space ahead and an open space behind to be interposed therebetween. The lamps are housed in the closed space, and are positioned right above the reflective plate and right under the diffuser panel to radiate light toward the diffuser panel. The electric circuit portion is housed in the open space, and is electrically connected to the lamps to light them up. On the side portions of the housing, there are formed openings, through which cooling air supplied from outside is introduced into the open space to diffuse heat accumulated within the housing.

摘要： A cylindrical luminaire is provided whose components align easily, for quicker assembly, despite the lack of intrinsic preferred relative orientation in circular components. Circular end plates affixed in a desired alignment to the end of an elongated reflector have notches for alignment of a part-cylindrical cover and slots or pivotal brackets to receive a baffle. The reflector, cover and baffle are accordingly assembled in proper alignment. The baffle can be an optical baffle to alter the aesthetic appearance of the luminaire.

The light emission plane (2) is closed during transport by means of a shaped plastic sheet (10), which has a base plane (11) and opposed walls (12) connected thereto. The shaped plastic sheet (10) enters the housing with its walls (12) and thereby keeps its position fixed. The shaped sheet (10) can easily be removed when there is no longer a risk of the louver (8) becoming polluted.

摘要： A device for permanent installation of exterior Christmas lighting. The device includes an elongated channel having top and bottom walls joined by a rear wall, and a front wall that depends from the top wall, and a flexible, rectangular screen cover for insertion and retention between the front wall and the bottom wall. The device, in conjunction with one or more additional devices, can be custom fit and mounted by fasteners to a building exterior, such as along principal architectural features--e.g., attached to the eaves or outlining a pitched roof. With the cover screen removed, a string of decorative Christmas lights can be positioned within and stretched from one end of the channel to an opposite end thereof, electrically connected to similar strings within additional such devices, and connected to a source of electrical power. With the devices so mounted and cover screens in place, they visually blend in with a building exterior and are hardly noticeable until the lighting is turned on, and then the illuminated decorative Christmas lighting is easily viewable through holes in the screens.

摘要： A fluorescent light fixture or luminaire having a housing which has hinge assemblies which pivotally support a mounting plate. The hinge assembly allows the mounting plate on which the lamps and ballasts are mounted to be pivoted to a generally vertical service position or latched in a horizontal use position within the housing. A selected number of lamp sockets can be selectively secured to the plate to receive the lamps. Reflectors and lamp stand-offs may be secured to the mounting plate at bendable tabs formed in the mounting plate. The light fixture is adapted for use with standard or high efficiency compact lamps.
