摘要: A highly accurate gas sensor includes a circuit having an improved S/N ratio. First ends of a heat generating element and reference resistor brought into contact with a detected gas are commonly connected, and second ends are respectively connected to a first switch. The first switch is connected with a power source apparatus for supplying a current to the heat generating element or reference resistor. A voltage measuring portion measures a voltage across the heat generating element or reference resistor. An operating portion switches the first switch between the reference resistor and heat generating element by a predetermined timing by determining a condition of controlling a power source apparatus for supplying at least 3 stages of step-like currents to the heat generating element from the voltage across the reference resistor. A voltage measuring portion measures the voltage across the heat generating element and calculates a concentration of a detected gas.

摘要: In a gas sensor, at least three levels of current are supplied to a heating element successively in a step-like manner for a predetermined time period. An arithmetic unit receives both-end voltages of the heating element for the respective current after elapse of the predetermined time period and calculates temperature from the both-end voltage of the heating element obtained when the lowest current flows. Then, the arithmetic unit corrects the both-end voltages of the heating element using the calculated temperature, a zero-point correction equation and a sensitivity correction equation to obtain respective standardized output values. Subsequently, the arithmetic unit calculates humidity based on the difference between the standardized output values, and corrects the standardized outputs based on the calculated humidity and humidity correction equations. By this method, the arithmetic unit calculates concentration of detection target gas.

摘要: There is provided a gas detector capable of detecting hydrogen concentration and humidity independently in the environment containing both hydrogen and water vapor. The gas detector comprises a high-temp exothermic detector unit and a low-temp exothermic detector unit provided with themosensitive resistors of different self-heating temperatures. The gas detector converts gas-level outputs produced by the high-temp exothermic detector unit and the low-temp exothermic detector unit responsive to the hydrogen concentration and humidity into electric signals, and outputs them after computing electrically levels of the hydrogen concentration and humidity contained in a gas introduced into the two detector units through a gas intake opening.

摘要: Input device has a plurality of dials, a driving portion for moving the plurality of dials, a dial selecting portion and a controller. The dial selecting portion receives an input to make a selection from the plurality of dials. The controller controls the driving portion such that the dial selected by the input supplied to the dial selecting portion is moved to a predetermined position. By virtue of the described construction, a specific dial is moved to the position where it is easy to control. The input device is preferably mounted on a vehicle. A driver is enabled to select a dial desired to be controlled without the need for searching for it through the sense of sight and to control the dial easily.

摘要: A pressure sensor has a recess formed in outer surfaces of a deforming part and a non-deforming part such that a pair of steps are formed at opposite ends of the recess. The deforming part is strained by a pressure whereas the non-deforming part is not strained by the pressure. An amorphous magnetic alloy film is received in and affixed relative to the recess, and extends between the pair of steps. The depth of the recess is larger than the thickness of the film. A pair of permeability detector elements are mounted respectively on the deforming part and the non-deforming part so as to detect a change in permeability of the film.

摘要: A bumper collision sensor can detect collision without hurting a pedestrian even if a bumper is deformed significantly. The bumper collision sensor includes a wire, a tension sensor, and a substrate. The wire has an extendable portion in a part thereof. The tension sensor is connected to one end of the wire. The substrate is mounted with the tension sensor and the wire and is attached, with plasticity, to the bumper. The tension sensor is fixed to one end of the substrate. The wire is arranged in the tension sensor along a longitudinal direction of the substrate with a stress equal to or lower than a value set in advance. The other end of the wire is fixed to the substrate.

摘要: A gas sensor in which a heating element is fed with a current of three levels in steps continuously for a specified time. An operating section takes in the voltage across the heating element for each current level after elapsing the specified time and determines the temperature from the voltage across the heating element for the lowest level current. Normalized outputs are also determined by correcting the voltage across the heating element according to a correction formula of temperature and zero point and a correction formula of sensitivity. Humidity is then determined from the difference between the normalized outputs, and the normalized outputs are corrected according to the humidity and a correction formula of humidity. The operating section thus determines the concentration of gas to be detected.
