摘要: Disclosed is an improved knot tying implement consisting of an elongated rigid body containing a silicon rubber insert, bottom and side notches, bottom cavity, a concave grip, and a hook holder which enables an angler to tie a variety of fishing knots such as the modified Hangman's knot, modified Snell knot, modified Nail knot, and modified Blood knot using either monofilament fishing lines, braided or super braided fishing lines, or fluorocarbon fishing lines in an array of fishing line strengths and diameters. This knot tying implement, by the use of an aperture in the silicon rubber insert, allows for an angler's “third hand” as the fishing line, fishing lines, or fish hook are held, in place and without damage, while the angler forms their choice of the desired fishing knot.

摘要: Methods and systems to detect droop events on-chip, which may include a sensor circuit located adjacent to a voltage node to convert a corresponding voltage to a digital count or value indicative of the voltage. The sensor circuit may include an n-stage ring oscillator and an asynchronous counter. The sensor circuit may include circuitry to capture and convert a phase associated with a count to a binary fractional value to increase voltage resolution. Multiple counts associated with the node may be evaluated at the node to identify minimum and maximum counts and corresponding time stamps. More complex evaluation and control circuitry may be shared amongst a plurality of sensor circuits and may include circuitry to generate and compare counts to one or more variable thresholds, circuitry to average counts over time, and memory to store state values associated with the sensors.

摘要: A method and system are provided for increasing the efficiency and satisfaction rating of service calls regarding a product. The system can contain a telecommunications system to receiving calls from customers, and for contacting the customers in return. Databases retain information regarding the products sold to the customers, and the customer's calls to the call center. When a given customer calls the call center more often within a given time period, the customer's call is forwarded to another, more specialized queue so that more intensive attention is given to resolve the customer's problem. At that point, the extent and quality of contact with the customer is carefully recorded and correlated with similar problems so that swift resolution of the problem is achieved.

摘要: A multi-axial electrically conductive cable having a multi-layered core. The multi-layered core comprises one layer of insulating dielectric material and at least one additional layer of insulating dielectric material. The multiple layers of the core are separable and allow the multi-axial electrically conductive cable to be utilized in several electrical connections of varying impedances and different sized connections.

摘要: A centralizer system is provided for use in a marine riser system with an insulated pipe, which may be a titanium stress joint. The centralizer system utilizes one or more centralizers mounted such that insulation material is provided in an annulus between the one or more centralizers and the stress joint. A clamp is utilized to axially affix either one centralizer or multiple centralizers to the stress joint. The clamp is comprised of a plurality of sections with cylindrical interior surfaces which are tightened together using fasteners. The cylindrical interior surfaces avoid damage to the insulation layer which may be elastomeric. The clamp and each centralizer have radially directed projections thereon which interlock the clamp with each centralizer. Because the clamp is axially affixed, the centralizer is then also axially affixed. In one embodiment, the centralizer is axially moveable to a desired axial position prior to being interlocked to the tightened clamp.

摘要: An on-line video editing system includes interface software containing in preferably text file format protocol information and a mapping of the architectural functions of peripheral devices that a user can control via the editor. This software allows the present invention to readily control all functions of which a peripheral device is capable, and to issue commands in a synchronized, distributed manner in the proper protocol for the peripheral device. The system permits simultaneous control of up to 48 serial devices (all of which may be switchers) as well as 8 GPI controlled devices, and permits multiple users or multiple simultaneous edits. Further, the interface software enables a user to input (preferably in text file form) a desired edit effect, whereupon the system will make design decisions and construct the desired effect using such devices as are available to the system. Applicants' hardware and EDL software permit the system to maintain a virtual hierarchical historical record of unlimited size containing every step of every edit made with the system, allowing a user to later recreate or partially or completely undue visual effects, including layered effects. In addition to conventional timecode data, the system EDL can provide user output in graphic or visual form, and will allow a user to actually see a still frame from a desired video edit point. The system includes a motorized control that automatically reflects the state of a video source under control while providing absolute or relative positional control.

摘要: A programmable logic array includes a decoder section and an encoder section connected by a plurality of minterm conductors. The decoder section receives a plurality of input signals and in response selects appropriate ones of the minterm conductors. The selection of the minterm conductors enable the encoder selection to transmit a plurality of output signal on respective output conductors. The decoder and encoder sections include a plurality of stages, each controlling a minterm conductor and output conductor in response to the input signals and the selection of the minterm conductor. The stages include control transistors that are connected between a node, to which the respective minterm and output conductors are connected, and switches which enable and disable the control transistors. The nodes are initially precharged while the switches disable the respective transistors. After precharge, the switches enable the transistors in the decoder and encoder section respectively. A self timing circuit controls the switches to ensure that the switches are correctly timed.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of expressing the papillomavirus capsid protein coding sequence in a cell using an expression system under conditions facilitating expression of the protein in the cell.In another aspect of the invention, it has been discovered that virus-like particle(s) (VLPs), fragment(s), capsomer(s) or portion(s) thereof are formed from the papillomavirus capsid protein. It was further discovered that the virus-like particle(s) comprises antigenic characteristics similar to those of native infectious papillomavirus particles. In an embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method of expressing the L1 major capsid protein of human papillomavirus type-11 (HPV-11) in Sf-9 insect cells using the baculovirus expression system, and the production of HPV-11 virus-like particles.
