Abstract:
The invention relates to a lamp that radiates visible light and infrared light. According to the invention, the lamp bulb (4) of the lamp comprises at least a first region (6) which is at least partly permeable to infrared light and at least partly impermeable to visible light, and at least a second region (9) which is wholly or partly permeable at least to visible light.
Abstract:
A high-pressure discharge lamp which is suitable for motor vehicle headlights, has an improved color point stability close to the black body locus, a high color temperature, and a high luminous efficacy (lm/w). The high-pressure discharge lamp includes an inner vessel with a discharge chamber, with at least two electrodes extending into the discharge chamber, and an outer bulb surrounding the inner vessel. The discharge chamber contains an ionizable filling including at least one rare gas, 0-10 mg of mercury, and a metal halide mixture. The metal halide mixture includes 40-80% by weight of sodium halide, 25-55% by weight of scandium halide, 1-15% by weight of indium halide, and 0-34% by weight of thallium halide.

Abstract:
The electric lamp for series arrangement comprises at least one current-supply wire of nickel wire, copper wire or copper cladded wire. A shortcircuit switch is provided, which consists of a vitreous mass, in which copper powder is dispersed and which is fused with the current-supply wires, and of an oxide skin, which is present on the said current-supply wire at the sealing-in area in the mass. The vitreous mass is electrically conducting. An electrical connection between the current-supply wires is not obtained, however, until the filament burns through and the oxide skin breaks down due to the overvoltage then occurring.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp which is suitable in particular for motor vehicle headlights, and which has an improved color point stability close to the black body locus, a high color temperature, and a high luminous efficacy (lm/W). The high-pressure discharge lamp according to the invention comprises an inner vessel with a discharge chamber, with at least two electrodes extending into the discharge chamber, and possibly an outer bulb surrounding the inner vessel, wherein the discharge chamber contains an ionizable filling comprising:—at least one rare gas,—0 mg to 10 mg of mercury, and—a metal halide mixture comprising: * 40 to 80% by weight of sodium halide, * 25 to 55% by weight of scandium halide, * 1 to 15% by weight of indium halide, and * 0 to 34% by weight of thallium halide.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a halogen incandescent lamp for motor vehicles with an elongate bulb which is closed at one end and has a vacuumtight pinch seal at the other end, with at least one incandescent element arranged in the bulb, with a lamp cap connected to the pinch seal, and with current supply leads which are passed through the pinch seal to the incandescent element, with an annular optical filter which is provided at the closed end of the bulb. It is possible with such a halogen incandescent lamp in a simple manner both to change the subjective impression of the generated light and to improve the objective properties through emphasizing of a desired region of the spectrum.
