摘要: An irradiation device for introducing infrared radiation into a vacuum processing chamber has an infrared emitter capped on one end and including an emitter casing tube in the form of a round glass tube, of which a closed end projects into the vacuum processing chamber. A vacuum feedthrough holds the emitter casing tube and leads it in a gas-tight manner through an opening of the vacuum processing chamber. A heating filament and a current return are arranged in the emitter casing tube, wherein the heating conductor has, in the section of the emitter casing tube surrounded by the vacuum feedthrough, a connection element that is led out from the emitter casing tube. The connection element of the heating conductor is guided through a tube section and the return conductor has, in the section of the emitter casing tube surrounded by the vacuum feedthrough, a means for compensating for thermal expansion.

摘要: An infrared radiation source has a radiation-transparent, gas-tight tube made of electrically insulating material, in which a heat conductor made of carbon strip is arranged. The heat conductor has two ends, which are respectively electrically and mechanically connected to bushings made of molybdenum and/or tungsten and/or tantalum, and the bushings are respectively connected via current feed-through leads with electrical connections projecting from the tube. The two ends of the heat conductor are respectively connected to one of the bushings by a metallic solder, which contains at least one of the metals titanium, zirconium or hafnium.

摘要: An improved inlead construction for an electric lamp is disclosed which utilizes an iron alloy containing sufficient silicon to avoid transformation of the inlead from the alpha ferrite phase to the gamma austenite phase at lamp operation temperatures. This precludes debilitating deformation of the inlead wires caused by on-off cycling of the lamp and concomitant cycling of the wire through the alpha to gamma transformation range. Such deformation can lead to structural or operational failure if the inleads become disconnected or electrically shorted from the resistive filament during lamp operation. In a preferred lamp construction, a pair of the improved inlead wires serve as the sole means of physical support for a resistive incandescent filament directly connected thereto and said inlead wires can further be coated with a dissimilar metal for higher lamp loading requirements in order to help avoid iron migration which can produce deterioration of the resistive incandescent filament.

摘要: In various embodiments, a lamp has a bulb with a pinch seal, which holds a light-emitting element by means of a wire clip. The wire clip consists of tungsten and has, at an end remote from films embedded in the pinch seal, an eyelet for holding the light-emitting element. An end of the wire clip which is close to a film is bent back. A film associated with the wire clip is folded in a roof-shaped manner. Overall, it is thus possible to realize a lamp with a long life.

摘要: A method is described for producing a light source comprising a matrix of micro-filaments able to emit light by incandescence when powered by an electrical current. According to the invention, on the matrix electrical and/or mechanical connections are obtained by means of an agglomeration of carbon nanotubes at least partially ordered with respect to each other. The matrix can be formed extending a single uninterrupted wire, some segments whereof mutually cross.
