摘要: An office space dividing system which includes rectangular post-supported panels having central cores and upper wire troughs. Each panel includes two stiles and upper and lower rails constructed of tubular metallic members having the same substantially rectangular cross-sectional configuration which includes a longitudinal channel. The stiles and rails are arranged to define four corners each having two adjacent unobstructed openings. A right angle reinforcing member is press fit into the adjoining openings to provide four square corners which are maintained by staking. The stiles and lower rail are oriented such that the longitudinal channels support the central core. The upper rail is inverted, with the longitudinal channel supporting the wire trough. A spanner extends across each post, between adjacent panels, from wire trough to wire trough. Post caps, panel caps, and four plastic corners on each panel complete the system.

摘要: A dunnage rack includes a dunnage bar adapted to receive an insert, where the insert is shaped to support parts for material handling purposes, and includes a cushioning portion, a retainer portion, and an interconnecting portion. The dunnage bar includes a tube section made from a single sheet of material. The tube section has a wall with a face surface and has longitudinally extending first and second rows of L-shaped tabs extending from the face surface that are formed from the material of the wall. The wall has apertures corresponding to locations of the L-shaped tabs. The L-shaped tabs defining a channel on the face surface that is adapted to receive the retainer portion and engage the retainer portion in a longitudinal direction. The L-shaped tabs further define an access opening into the channel for receiving the interconnecting portion of the tube section to structurally support the insert on the face surface.

摘要: An office space dividing panel, and method of assembling same, wherein first and second rectangular fabric pieces are applied to first and second major flat faces, respectively, of a rectangular frame. The rectangular frame has a perimetrical edge which defines first and second peripheral grooves. Outer edges of the first and second fabric pieces are firmly held in the first and second peripheral grooves by a pressure sensitive adhesive, which in a preferred embodiment of the invention is applied to the grooves in a foamed, heated state. Each fabric piece is tensioned in the directions of the length and width of the fabric piece while the fabric is pressed into an adhesive coated peripheral groove, with sufficient pressure being applied during the pressing step to immediately set the adhesive and bond the fabric piece to the frame while retaining the applied tension in the fabric piece.

摘要: A space dividing system which comprises a rectangular panel having a metallic frame which includes stiles and rails arranged to form a window. The stiles and rails each have a channel which faces the window and first and second spaced internal pockets which straddle the channel. Projectile resistant material is disposed in the first and second pockets of each stile, and a rigid rectangular layer of projectile resistant material is centered in the frame window with its outer edges extending into the channels and overlapping the first and second pockets. In a preferred embodiment, layers of acoustical insulation are respectively disposed against opposite sides of the rigid layer of projectile resistant material; and, the panel is supported by an arrangement which includes both a hollow metallic post filled with projectile resistant material, and a connecting joint structure which both blocks and deflects projectiles entering the joint.

摘要: A substantially rectangular panel suitable for use in an office space dividing system, with the panel including a frame constructed of rails and stiles. The rails and stiles define a window having inner facing edges which include channels for receiving a sheet of material. Glazing strips are provided for the channels which are configured such that they are insertable into a channel in a selected one of two orientations. In one orientation, the glazing strip is in a normal position to receive the sheet of material. In the other orientation the glazing strip is inverted, completely blocking access to the channel, to prevent foreign matter from entering the channel prior to assembly of the sheet of material with the frame.

摘要: A space dividing system which includes vertically disposed posts and space dividing panels. Each post includes a center core and a plurality of circumferentially spaced, longitudinally extending T-shaped members having a stem or leg portion integrally joined to the core, and a flange spaced outwardly from the core. The space between the core and inner surfaces of the flanges defines vertical wire ways. Each space dividing panel has upper and lower hook-like connector assemblies fixed to its vertical edges. The T-shaped members have predetermined portions of their associated flanges removed to define access openings having flange-defined support edges for supporting the upper and lower hook-like connector assemblies. Flanges of T-shaped members not associated with a space dividing panel are concealed by one or more post covers having retaining beds which removably engage lateral edges of predetermined flanges.

摘要: A ceiling infeed module for a free standing, space dividing, wall panel system which includes, in combination, a ceiling panel for inclusion in a suspended ceiling system, a hollow space dividing wall panel and a tubular member with a removable side cap interconnecting the ceiling panel and the hollow space dividing wall panel by way of a transition. The ceiling infeed module also includes a base shroud for use in concealing the lower portion of the hollow space dividing wall panel and a ceiling escutcheon for use in concealing an aperture cut into the ceiling panel. The tubular member carries electrical and communication service from the plenum area above the suspended ceiling to a free standing, space dividing wall panel system. The tubular member construction enables the electrical and communication service to be installed either before or after the ceiling infeed module is in place.

摘要: An office space dividing partition having an electrical raceway. The raceway includes an extruded plastic spine having a vertical web; a top portion which includes an extruded mounting slot; a bottom portion which includes first and second extruded grooves and a noise seal; and, an intermediate portion which defines four passageways for communication and power wiring. First and second extruded plastic side panels are telescoped into engagement with the first and second extruded grooves of the spine. An extruded panel-to-raceway connector connects the spine to the bottom edge of an office space dividing panel. Raceway stabilizers extend outwardly from the spine to engage support posts which support the panels. Raceway shrouds, which conceal the posts adjacent to the ends of the raceways, are positionally keyed to the spine for accurate mating with the side panels of the raceway.

摘要: The spadelike terminal pins of a conventional plug-in surface heating element for a domestic range of the electric type are received in a socket member hingedly mounted to the range by a clip structure including a spring-biased pin joint. The clip structure allows the heating element, normally nested within and supported by a drip pan, to be tilted upwardly and then unplugged from the socket to permit ready removal of the drip pan for cleaning purposes. Spring-biasing of the clip structure aids in retaining the heating element at its normal position within the drip pan. The spring-biased pin joint is shielded from the radiant heat generated by the heating element to minimize the deteriorating effects of repeated thermal expansion and contraction cycles.
