    摘要: A foldable electronic display and method of its formation that can be unfolded and used as a monitor. The display comprises a plurality of layers, each formed with an allotrope of carbon and clubbed together to form a composite display sheet. The top most layer is a composite containing an allotrope of carbon such as graphene to provide a high optical resolution. Other layers act as a display screen, a circuit carrier, a layer to dissipate heat, and a final layer that has insulator properties.

    摘要: An environmental barrier coating, a method of application thereof, and an article made thereby suitable for protecting components exposed to high-temperature environments with improved delamination resistance and cavitation resistance. The environmental barrier coating system for a silicon-containing substrate includes a bond coat layer on the silicon-containing substrate and at least one ceramic environmental barrier layer on the bond coat layer. The bond coat layer includes silicon and at least one doping material including elemental titanium. The doping material is located at grain boundaries within the bond coat layer in sufficient quantity to improve the delamination resistance and the cavitation resistance of increase the bond coat layer.

The turbine repair process includes providing a turbine component having a higher-pressure region and a lower-pressure region, introducing particles into the higher-pressure region, and at least partially repairing an opening between the higher-pressure region and the lower-pressure region with at least one of the particles to form a repaired turbine component.     摘要: Methods suitable for reducing corner cracking of environmental barrier coating systems. The methods include forming at least one layer of a first portion of the environmental barrier coating system on at least a first region of the component, performing a first heat treatment, forming at least one layer of a second portion of the environmental barrier coating system on a second region of the component, and performing a second heat treatment to the component. Edges of the first portion and edges of the second portion form an angle of at most 60° with respect to a surface of the first region of the component. During the second heat treatment, the second portion of the EBC system expands and the expansion of the second portion of the EBC system is at least partially constrained by the first portion of the EBC system to reduce tensile interfacial stresses in the EBC system.
