    摘要: A flexible printed circuit interconnecting cable which includes a flexible circuitry assembly including an array of conductors mounted on a flexible substrate film and covered with a flexible covering film. In order to achieve flexure through a plurality of coordinates of planes, the substrate is cut or slit longitudinally between mutually adjacent pairs of conductors, and thereafter opposed end segments of the assembly are twisted relative to each other so as to achieve a plurality of independent helices which will provide a flexural plane for any desired relative motion between the opposed ends of the assembly. The slit wound portion may be covered with a sleeve of flexible material such as, for example, vinyl tubing or metallic spring material.

    摘要: A system for re-winding an elongated moving treating web onto a winding core downstream from a web treating station, the system including web handling means for establishing and maintaining a slack segment in the web downstream from the treating station, and take-up roll means for re-winding the treated web onto the winding core at a substantially constant rate of speed, the rate substantially matching the rate of movement of the web through the treating station. Means are provided for applying tension to the web between the slack loop segment and the winding core. The take-up roll includes a motor means for rotating the winding core and control means for driving the motor means at a certain predetermined arcuate rate responsive to the immediate composite diameter of the core and its wound web. Sensing arm means are arranged for sensing the diameter of the core and its re-wound web portion, the arm means being provided with a profiled cam having its cam surface arranged to provide motion in a cam follower proportional to the reciprocal of the immediate composite diameter of the winding core and the re-wound web.

    摘要: A sequentially addressable display system is disclosed wherein a plurality of stages, each including a series connected combination of a gas-filled diode, such as a neon glow tube, and a capacitor are coupled between a pair of voltage buses. Means are provided for coupling an input signal representative of a condition to the first stage of the system, with each succeeding state being coupled to its own immediately succeeding stage such that signals representing the state of each discrete stage can be propagated from stage to stage through the system, thus providing a transfer from the first stage to succeeding stages. A condition represented by an extinguished glow tube may also be propagated from stage to stage through the display system.
