摘要: This disclosure relates to an annular centrifugal extractor with Solid Separation Part to Separate Solid Particles Present in Solvent Extraction Fluid. In order to remove solid particles from the solution, a solid separation part/rotating bowl is attached to rotating bowl in such a way that solid particles settle inside the solid separation part. This solid separating centrifugal extractor contains two parts: (I) upper part which acts as a liquid-liquid separator to separate aqueous and organic solution used in solvent extraction operation and (II) bottom part which acts as a solid separator to separate solid particle present in solvent extraction liquids. The bottom rotating rotor is coupled with upper rotating rotor by threading arrangement. Both the rotating rotors are confined within a stationary cylinder. Dispersion with solid particles entering inside the rotating bowl is deflected towards the wall of the rotating cylinder by deflecting baffle by centrifugal sedimentation.

摘要: The present invention applies to a deuterated derivative of 3,3′-diselenodipropionic acid (D-DSePA), an organo-selenium compound and method of synthesis thereof. The invention also provides the method including D-DSePA for the inhibition of the proliferation of human non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) cells. This compound inhibits the proliferation of A549, H1975 and H3122 cells of NSCLC origin at a much lower concentration than that needed to inhibit the growth of non-cancerous lung fibroblast cells (WI-38 and WI-26 VA4). Further, D-DSePA exhibits additive effect in A549 lung cancer cells while protecting non-cancerous WI38 cells from radiotoxicity.

摘要: A method of treatment of disease condition resulting from deficiency of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and/or epidermal stem cells in skin comprising: administering to the subject suffering from said disease conditions, an effective amount of Jack bean lectin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for increasing the abundance of hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells in bone marrow and/or epidermal stem cells in skin in vivo. Method of treating said conditions in a subject involves administering a single injection of lectin in a dose range of 0.5-2.0 mg/kg body weight to mouse leading to 2.815 to 3.55 fold increase in the abundance of epidermal stem cells in skin and a dose range of 8.0-10.0 mg/Kg body weight to a mouse leading to 2.36 to 6.67-fold increase in the abundance of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in bone marrow.

摘要: Use of Jack bean lectin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for increasing the abundance of hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells in bone marrow and/or epidermal stem cells in skin in vivo and a method of treatment involving the said lectin at a specific dose to treat conditions due to depletion of stem cells. Method of treating said conditions in a subject by administering a single injection of lectin dose 0.5-2.0 mg/kg body weight to mouse for increasing the abundance of skin stem cells from 2.815±0.100% (mean±SEM) in control untreated mice to 8.097±0.938% and 9.993±0.542% in mice treated with lectin dose of 0.5 mg/kg body weight and 2 mg/kg body weight respectively; and a dose range 8.0-10 mg/kg body weight to mouse for increasing the abundance of hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow from 0.293±0.043% (mean±SEM) in control untreated mice to 1.956±0.592% and 0.692±0.193% in mice treated with lectin dose of 8.0 mg/kg body weight and 10 mg/kg body weight respectively.

摘要: This invention relates to a sensor device consisting of long period gratings made of rare-earth doped double clad fiber, which is written by CO2 laser irradiation while the fiber is held static, for gamma dose measurement in the range of 150 Gy-2.5 kGy, extendable to 20 kGy, which measurements are real-time and can be from remote locations. The sensor device has high wavelength dip shift sensitivity of at least 2.8 nm/kGy, and its radiation-induced changes are near permanent. The gratings demonstrate negligible temperature sensitivity and the shifts recorded show negligible annealing at room temperature.

摘要: An arrangement of coaxial windings is provided. The arrangement includes primary and secondary windings as air-core pulse transformers having insulation and winding arrangement for efficient energy transfer to the secondary winding. The secondary winding is wound with a central metallic core to include a coaxial transmission line with it and is configured to deliver a rectangular pulse across its terminals. The arrangement also includes a coaxial feeding arrangement for the primary winding with a central coaxial terminal connecting to one end of an adjustable primary closing switch electrode so as to have variable voltage feed input corresponding to its load requirement.

摘要: The present invention relates to method and device invention made in SS316LN for tuning single-cell or multi-cell SCRF cavity for precise slow and fast tuning with low hysteresis. The tuning mechanism (device) for SCRF cavity consists of two thick square flanges connected to each other through two parallel sets of X-link levers pivoted in between such that the motion of top end of flange and bottom end of flange equalizes; wherein the top end of X-link connects one square flange to the bottom end of the other square flange and vice-versa using thin flat flexure plates; wherein the flexure plates are joined on X-link and square flange by bolts having spring locks; the square flanges have platform on the top that transfer motion and these are connected through power screw mechanism; wherein the power screw for linear actuation is rotated using worm-wheel.

摘要: The present invention describes the method of using a synthetic organoselenium compound, DSePA for management of non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) and chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). The method comprises administering DSePA orally at a dosage of 1 mg/Kg body weight daily for inhibiting the growth of A549 (representative of NSCLC) and K562 (representative of CML) tumor in mice models. Additionally, the said compound also inhibits the proliferation of other cancer cells of NSCLC (HOP-62 and H460), breast (MDA-MB-231), white blood cells (JURKAT and U-937), oral (SCC-40), colon (HT-29), kidney (A498) and cervix (SiHA) origins in cellular models at a much lower concentration than that needed to inhibit the growth of normal cells.
