摘要: Described herein is a novel approach for coarse-grained user geolocation leveraging widely-deployed content delivery networks (CDNs). This method relies on the fact that CDN providers deploy a number of edge servers that are geographically distributed across the world. Many of these edge servers are assigned with unique identifiers that are tied to their location, which can be retrieved by inspecting HTTP responses headers served by these edge servers. As a result, a website can infer coarse-grained user location by asking a user to send an HTTP request to an arbitrary domain that is known being served by a CDN, and inspecting the corresponding responses.

摘要: In some embodiments, a system and/or method may include assessing surface cleanliness. In some embodiments, the system may include a dispensing device. The dispensing device may dispense, during use, a liquid on a surface forming a drop. In some embodiments, the system may include a stage. The stage may support, during use, a digital imaging device above the drop positioned on the surface. In some embodiments, the system may include a light emitter. The light emitter may emit, during use, a beam of light substantially parallel to the surface at the drop. In some embodiments, the system may include an adjustable support coupled to the stage. The adjustable support may adjust, during use, an angle of the stage relative to the surface. In some embodiments, the system is configured to determine a contact angle of the drop relative to the surface.

摘要: Many mobile devices are used for documenting different scenarios that are encountered by the users as they go about their daily lives. In many situations, a mobile device may be used to document the scenario. This data may be of significant forensic interest to an investigator. In many situations, the owner of the phone may be willing to provide the investigator access to this data (through a documented consent agreement). Such consent is usually contingent upon the fact that not all the data available on the phone may be extracted for analysis, either due to privacy concerns or due to personal reasons. Courts have also opined in several cases that investigators must limit data extracted, so as to focus on only “relevant information” for the investigation at hand. Thus, only selective (or filtered) data should be extracted as per the consent available from the witness/victim (user). Described herein is the design and implementation of such a targeted data extraction system (TDES) for mobile devices. The TDES assumes consent of the user and implements state of the art filtering using machine learning techniques. This system can be used to identify and extract selected data from smart phones, in real time at the scene of the crime.

摘要: In some embodiments, a personal hygiene assist system may assist an impaired user in using deodorant. The system may include a container comprising an opening on an upper first side, opposite to a lower second side. The opening may include a substantially oblong shape configured to hold at least a lower portion of a deodorant case. The lower portion of the deodorant case may include an activation mechanism which upon rotation exposes additional deodorant positioned in the deodorant case. In some embodiments, the system may include a handle coupled to a third side coupling the first and second sides. In some embodiments, the system may include an engaging mechanism positioned in the container and coupled to the handle. When the handle is rotated the engaging mechanism may engage and rotate the activation mechanism of the deodorant exposing additional deodorant positioned in the deodorant case.
