A portable communication device for extracting a user interest comprises a term vector generation unit for generating, based on types of text data stored in the portable communication device, a term vector representing each text data, a subject classification tree storage unit for storing a subject classification tree, which is a tree structure in which multiple nodes, each including at least one training data and representing a subject, are connected to one another, and a similarity calculation unit for calculating a similarity between the term vector and the training data for each node in the subject classification tree. The similarity calculation unit extracts a node name representing the user interest from the subject classification tree based on the similarity.

A timing controller includes a receiver, an internal clock generator, a first frequency converter, a first selector and a control signal generator. The receiver receives an image signal and a main clock signal having a first spread spectrum frequency from an external system, converts the main clock signal to a converted main clock signal and the image signal to a first converted image signal, and outputs the converted main clock signal as a first clock signal having a plurality of frequencies. The internal clock generator multiplies the frequencies of the first clock signal and generates a second clock signal having a frequency band within the multiplied frequencies of the first clock signal. The first frequency converter converts the second clock signal to a third clock signal having a second spread spectrum frequency. The first selector selects one of the second clock signal and the third clock signal in response to a first selection signal and outputs the selected one of the second clock signal and the third clock signal as a control clock signal. The control signal generator receives the control clock signal to generate a control signal synchronized with the control clock signal.

The deposition device includes a shadow mask that has a plurality of openings, a chamber that has the shadow mask therein, a deposition cell disposed on a lower portion of the chamber, in which the deposition cell contains deposition materials, and a blocking member interposed between an inner side of the chamber and an outer side of the shadow mask so as to prevent the deposition materials from passing through between the inner side of the chamber and the outer side of the shadow mask. Deposition materials sublimated from a deposition cell are prevented from passing through the shadow mask, except for the openings of the shadow mask, so that the inside of a chamber can be prevented from being contaminated, thereby improving workability of a thin film deposition device. Deposition materials attached to the inside of the chamber can be prevented from being separated from the chamber, so the deposition materials cannot serve as particles.

Provided are an apparatus and method for enhancing an image using a color channel. A pre-processing unit generates an inverted image by inverting a luminance component estimated from a red (R) channel among color channels of a red, green, and blue (RGB) color space of an input image. A channel merging unit generates a merged luminance (L) channel by merging an L channel of an International Commission on Illumination (CIE) L*a*b* (CIELab) color space of the input image and the inverted image. A contrast enhancement unit enhances contrast by expanding a histogram of the merged L channel. A color restoration unit combines the merged L channel whose contrast has been enhanced and chromaticity components of the input image, and converts a resultant color image to the RGB color space, thereby generating a restored image.
