Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and system for transmitting a haptic function within a communication system. The method includes: inserting, by a first mobile terminal, haptic information corresponding to a selected vibration into a call setup request message and transmitting the call setup request message to a network server when a haptic service is executed; analyzing, by the network server, the haptic information, generating a vibration code corresponding to the haptic information, inserting the vibration code into the call setup request message, and transmitting the call setup request message to at least one second mobile terminal; and executing, by the second mobile terminal, a corresponding haptic function according to the vibration code included in the call setup request message when receiving the call setup request message.
Abstract:
A digital broadcast receiver and associated access restriction method are disclosed. The access restriction method includes receiving digital broadcast data containing access restriction information, selecting in sequence scene broadcast data from the digital broadcast data, determining whether access restriction is applied to the scene broadcast data, providing, if access restriction is applied, an advance notice for a corresponding access-restricted scene, and outputting the scene broadcast data at a time delayed by a preset preliminary notice duration.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a system and a method for broadcasting a user report. In the system and the method, a user transmits a user message including a report and location information stored in a digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal to a digital multimedia broadcasting station as incoming information extracted from digital multimedia broadcasting signals. The digital multimedia broadcasting station receives the user message and the location information, generates area information which includes both area specific information of an area based on the user message and the location information and area specific information of adjacent areas, and broadcasts the area information. The digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal having received the area information provides the area information to a user when previously stored location information is included in the area specific information of the area information. Accordingly, the user of the digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal can obtain information on the report through the area information.
Abstract:
A multiplex storing apparatus for a digital still camera including a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) for converting an image signal of an object inputted through a lens unit into an electrical signal, a CDS (Correlated Double Sampling)/AGC (Automatic Gain Control) for removing noises from the electrical signal inputted from the CCD and automatically amplifying and controlling the gains of the signals for uniformly outputting the signals even when the level of the image signals are varied, and A/D (Analog/Digital) converter for converting an analog image signal inputted from the CDS/AGC into a digital image signal, a memory for temporarily storing an image information of one (1) frame which is converted into the digital image signal by the A/D converter, a camera position detector for detecting a tilting degree of the digital still camera and judging the horizontal and vertical picturing state of the digital still camera, a controller for outputting a control signal by which the entire operation of the digital still camera is controlled, and pictured images stored in the memory are compressed and stored in a horizontally or vertically pictured state without any changes in their size in accordance with the horizontal and vertical picturing state of the digital still camera detected by the camera position detector, and a compression processor for compressing the pictured images stored in the memory in accordance with a control of the controller.

Abstract:
A broadcast data display method for a digital broadcast receiver is provided. In response to a broadcast reception request from a user, a channel list having identifiers of available channels is displayed. Broadcast data of a channel selected by the user from the channel list is displayed on a screen in a full-screen mode. In response to a request of all-channel view during channel list display or broadcast reception, the screen is divided into display areas corresponding to the individual available channels of the channel list. Real-time broadcast data of the selected channel is displayed in a corresponding display area of the screen. Still images of the remaining channels are displayed simultaneously or sequentially in their corresponding display areas.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for performing a communication function while performing a multimedia function. The apparatus having a speaker unit, a microphone unit, a key input unit, and a display unit, includes a first control unit for controlling the communication function of the apparatus in possession of a control authority over the apparatus, and a second control unit for controlling the multimedia function of the apparatus by receiving the control authority over the apparatus from the first control unit when the multimedia function is performed, wherein, in a concurrent service mode where both the multimedia function and the multimedia function are concurrently performed when the communication function is requested in process of performing the multimedia function, the second control unit delivers only a sound control authority over the apparatus to the first control unit and blocks output of multimedia audio data of the speaker unit, and the first control unit receives the sound control authority so as to control input/output of phone sound in the microphone unit and the speaker unit.
Abstract:
A haptic generation method and system for a mobile phone is provided. A vibration event is detected in an operation mode. A vibration code corresponding to the vibration event is retrieved from a mapping table. A control message containing the vibration code is generated, and the control message is transmitted to at least one destination mobile phone.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a digital broadcast receiver including a Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) module for receiving digital broadcastings of multiple channels; an output unit for outputting voice and image signals of the digital broadcastings; and a controller for controlling the DMB module to receive the digital broadcastings while successively and automatically switching the channels at a predetermined time interval, and controlling the digital broadcasting data received in the DMB module to be transmitted to the output unit.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal having a dual display unit and a method of changing a display screen using the same are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes a main body, a front display unit for providing a multimedia mode, a rear display unit for providing a normal mode, and a screen control module for controlling to turn off the rear display unit and turn on the front display unit, and to display a multimedia execution screen in the front display unit. The method of changing a display screen of the mobile terminal having additional multimedia functions provides an optimum multimedia environment and improves user convenience and effectiveness of the mobile terminal by flexibly supporting a multimedia function to be executed according to a screen state of the rear display unit.
