Abstract:
A reeling device (10), has a support base (1), a support arm (2), and a shaft (9′) mounted on the support arm (2). One shaft end has a boss (9) and the other end has a revolving frame (7). Mounted to the device is a transit case (20), within which the used doctor blades (12) of a paper/cardboard machine are reeled on a roll. Raw material is supplied to a blade production plant, where the blades are produced, then transported to a paper/cardboard plant and stored in the plant prior to being mounted in connection with paper/cardboard machine rolls, where their condition is monitored during use. Used doctor blades are removed from the machine, packed in storable form with the reeling device, and are stored in the paper/cardboard plant. The packed used blades are transported away from the paper/cardboard plant and delivered into recycling, reuse or end use.
Abstract:
A method and device for drilling holes into a mantle of a cylinder used in a paper machine are disclosed. The drilling device includes a base frame and a spindle box displaceable on support of the base frame towards a cylinder mantle to be machined. The spindle box includes a number of drill bits and a drive motor arranged to move the spindle box to produce a feed movement for the drill bits. In the spindle box, a second motor is arranged to rotate the drill bits simultaneously. The rotating drive of the drill bits is obtained by means of the second motor which rotates a drive belt arranged to pass via drive pulleys of the drill bits so that the drive pulleys and drill bits are rotated. Each drill bit comprises a horizontally displaceable slide frame. Coupling devices are arranged between each displaceable slide frame and the spindle box, by means of which each slide frame can be locked in the desired horizontal position so as to adjust the positions of the drill bits.
Abstract:
An abrasive-band grinding device for rolls and method for grinding rolls in which a motor rotates an abrasive band such that the abrasive band is pressed against the face of the roll to be ground. Guide pulleys are arranged in a loop of the abrasive band and, between the guide pulleys, a rotatable contact pulley is arranged over which the abrasive band is pressed against the face to be ground. The contact pulley is controlled by an actuator, preferably a motor, so that it can be inclined in relation to the roll face to be ground.
Abstract:
Method and device for drilling holes into a mantle of a cylinder of a paper machine, in particular a drying cylinder, while the cylinder is in its site of operation in the paper machine in which a drill carriage having drill bits is supported on the cylinder being drilled. The drill carriage is locked in a fixed position relative to the cylinder being drilled the drill bits are pressed into the mantle of the cylinder to be drilled and rotating to thereby drill holes in the cylinder mantle. The drill carriage is supported on the cylinder being drilled by a first set of wheels arranged on the drill carriage during drilling and is displaced upon rotation of a second set of wheels which contact the cylinder only for axial movement and not during drilling.
Abstract:
A gym machine for dip exercises in combination with body twist, includes frame members, a seat, a weight stack, elements for supporting the weight stack movably on the frame members, moving elements for moving the weight stack in response to a performance by the user, a chain element connected to the moving elements, and a handle element attached to one end of the chain element for a user to perform the exercise movement. The gym machine further includes brace elements for steadying the user in a performing position for dip exercise in combination with body twist for the duration of performing the workout, the brace elements including an upper leg support, lower forward leg supports, lower rearward leg supports, and a handgrip for steadying the non-supporting arm. The brace elements support the user with the hand of a performing arm engaging the handle element.
Abstract:
A blade holder for a doctor and method for using the doctor is disclosed, in which in the front part there is a throat or similar for the doctor blade of the doctor and which blade holder has loading members connected thereto to press the doctor blade against the surface to be doctored. The blade holder further includes a relatively stiff, slightly flexible frame plate, which incorporates the attachment flange. The blade holder also includes loading devices for directing the force of the loading members onto the frame plate at a distance from the attachment flange, to bend the frame plate and thus press the doctor blade against the surface to be doctored.
Abstract:
Equipment for changing a blade (43) in a coating device (51) changes several blades (43) arranged in a band (43). The equipment includes reels (11, 40) connected to the ends of the blade holder (45), for holding the reeled unused and used band (43); transfer devices (13, 20) for moving the band (43) in connection with the blade holder (45), and lifting devices (17) for lifting the band (43) up and lowering it into the blade holder (45). Indentations (44) at least the length of the hollow shaft (52) are arranged at regular intervals on the band (43), and are arranged to permit the blade (43) to be lowered into the blade holder (45).
Abstract:
The operation of a doctor assembly (16) in a paper machine is monitored. In case of a malfunction, the paper machine's (10) control devices (14-14′, 15) are used to carry out the necessary measures for eliminating the malfunction and carrying out repair and/or protective measures. In addition, detector devices (20) are arranged in connection with the doctor assembly (16), to detect a malfunction. The detector devices (20) are connected to the control devices (14, 14′, 15) of the paper machine (10), in order to carry out the said measures automatically. The invention also relates to doctor assemblies in a paper machine for implementing the method.
Abstract:
A method for drilling holes into a mantle of a cylinder of a paper machine while the cylinder is in its site of operation in the paper machine. The holes are drilled into the cylinder mantle by a drilling device having drill bits and which is transferred after each drilling cycle to the next drilling position. When drilling the holes, the device is supported on cylinders placed adjacent to and above the cylinder to be machined and/or on the cylinder to be machined by fastening supports of the device. Before the drilling is started, the device is locked in its position by locking fastening supports in a desired position and, the holes are drilled into the cylinder placed underneath from the top toward the bottom. The device includes drill bits, a frame construction, a drive gear for transferring and rotating the drill bits during the drilling, fastening supports for supporting the device in its place in the drilling position against the cylinders placed above and adjacent to the cylinder to be machined and/or against the cylinder to be machined, and an actuator for locking the device in its place in the drilling position.
