    摘要: A manufacturing apparatus manufactures flattened tube fins in which cutaway portions for inserting flattened tubes for heat exchanging are formed. The manufacturing apparatus includes: a press apparatus with a mold apparatus that forms the cutaway portions in an unmachined metal thin plate to produce a metal strip; an inter-row slit apparatus cutting the metal strip with the formed cutaway portions into predetermined widths to form metal strips of product width arranged in the width direction; and a cutoff apparatus cutting each metal strip of the product width formed by the inter-row slit apparatus into predetermined lengths. A plurality of box-like magazines whose upper surfaces are open are arranged in the width direction downstream of the cutoff apparatus to stack the flattened tube fins formed by the cutoff apparatus cutting into lengths.

    摘要: A flattened tube fin manufacturing apparatus includes a press apparatus equipped with a mold apparatus forming cutaway portions into which flattened tubes are inserted to produce metal strips; an inter-row slit apparatus cutting the metal strip, in which the cutaway portions have been formed, into predetermined widths to form a plurality of metal strips of a product width arranged in the width direction; and a cutoff apparatus cutting each metal strip of the product width formed by the inter-row slit apparatus into predetermined lengths. The metal strips of the product width outputted from the inter-row slit apparatus advance into the cutoff apparatus after entering a downwardly sagging state. A support portion that contacts and supports lower surfaces of the metal strips of product width in the downwardly sagging state is also provided.

    摘要: A continuous strip of T-Nuts formed on a common strip of metal. Each T-Nut of the strip of T-Nuts is integrally connected to the next adjacent T-Nut by carry tabs. The carry tabs can be frangible themselves or contain a frangible portion. Each T-Nut includes a cylindrical bore therein and a threaded interior. A mechanism feeds and severs the endmost T-Nut in endwise fashion. The mechanism to feed and sever the endmost T-Nut includes a cutting blade positioned vertically below the frangible portion of the carry tab. A shearing ram having a guide positioned axially in line with the cylindrical bore in the endmost T-Nut is adapted to move vertically from an upper to a lower position to engage the cutting blade with the frangible portion and sever the endmost T-Nut.

    摘要: A method of making elongated spacer frame members prevents a first spacer frame member in a series of spacer frame members from being scrapped. A supply of thin relatively narrow sheet metal stock is provided. The stock is fed endwise to a stamping station. The stock is passed through the stamping station that stamps the stock to define a scrap length of stock followed by a connected first spacer frame defining length of stock. The scrap length of stock and the connected first spacer frame defining length of stock are fed to a roll forming station. The scrap length of stock and the connected first spacer frame defining length of stock are formed into a rigid linearly extending scrap element having opposite side walls and a base wall and a connected rigid linearly extending first spacer frame element having opposite side walls and a base wall. A connection between the scrap element and the first spacer frame element is then severed.

Metering wheel (44) engages at least one of the weatherstrips moving through the guides, and provides for actuation of the cutter, when the desired length of the weatherstrips is driven through the guides; the length corresponding to the length of the frame member which receives the weatherstrips.
