    摘要： The present invention provides a wrapped personal care product having a wrapper component and a personal care product placed within the wrapper component. The wrapper component has a chamber, an opening having a first side and a second side which reveals the chamber when opened but conceals the chamber when closed, and an opening device. The opening device has a first shape memory element on the first side of the opening and a second shape memory element on the second side of the opening. Each shape memory element has a first end and a second end and the first end of the first shape memory element is adjacent the first end of the second shape memory element and the second end of the first shape memory element is adjacent the second end of the second shape memory element. When in the relaxed state, each shape memory element has a first shape such that the opening is in a closed position and a second shape when subject to a compression force from the first end and second end of the each shape memory elements simultaneously such that the opening is opened revealing the chamber. Also disclosed is a method for disposing of used absorbent personal care articles.

    摘要： The present invention provides a personal care product including a wrapper having at least one free edge, an absorbent personal care article and a sensory cue providing indicia as to the location of the free edge. In one embodiment, the wrapper is a wrapper component and has a first panel, a back panel and a second panel, where the first panel is connected to the back panel and the second panel is connected to the back panel at an opposite end from where the first panel is connected to the back panel. The second panel having a free edge positioned adjacent the first panel, wherein the second panel has a first set of sensory attributes which terminate at the free edge of the second panel and the first panel has a second set of sensory attributes which are adjacent the free edge of the second panel. In the present invention, at least one attribute from the first set of sensory attributes or at least one attribute from the second set of attributes is different from attributes from the other set. The different attribute provides a contrast between the second panel and the first panel, and this contrast provides a sensory cue providing clear indicia as to the location of the free edge of the second panel. Also provided is a method of using the personal care product and wrapper. The sensory cue can also be used to direct a user as to how to open the wrapper.

    摘要： A flexible package is disclosed having an easy opening feature. The opening feature includes a gusset formed in at least one side wall. The gusset is aligned inward of the side wall and forms a pocket having an internal panel and an external panel. An aperture is formed through the external panel and is sized to receive at least one human finger. The package also has a line of weakness formed in the side wall containing the external panel with the aperture formed therethrough. The line of weakness has two portions, each located on an opposite side of the aperture and each extending from the first end of the gusset to a point spaced apart therefrom. The line of weakness also has a third portion which extends across the side wall and connects with the first two portions of the line of weakness. The combination of the gusset, the aperture and the line of weakness create a structure which allows the package to be easily opened.
