    Abstract: A packaged feminine care absorbent article has an absorbent article with an absorbent structure and a shell. The absorbent structure is configured for disposition adjacent a female wearer's vaginal region. The shell is configured for supporting the absorbent structure at the vaginal region. The shell has a body-facing surface and a garment-facing surface. The body-facing surface has an adhesive thereon for adhering the shell directly to the wearer. At least a portion of the shell extends outward beyond the periphery of the absorbent structure. The absorbent article is configurable between a packaged configuration and a use configuration. At least part of the outward extending portion of the shell is arranged in direct overlapping relationship with a portion of the absorbent structure in the packaged configuration. The outward extending portion of the shell is free from overlapping relationship with the absorbent structure in the use configuration.

    Abstract: An article (20) has a longitudinal length (22), an article width (24) and an article thickness (26). The article (20) comprises a fresh personal care product (28) in a substantially unsoiled condition, and a pouch (30) having a pouch volume which operatively encloses the fresh product (28). The pouch (30) includes a front panel region (32), a back panel region (34) which is operatively connected to the front panel region (32), and at least one expansion section (48) which is operatively connected between the front panel region (32) and the back panel region (34). The expansion section (48) is operatively held in a substantially unexpanded, closed position when the fresh product (28) is enclosed in the pouch (30). The expansion section 48 is movable to an open position after a removal of the fresh product (28) from the pouch (30). The open position of the expansion section (48) is configured to provide an expanded disposal volume which can operatively contain a product (28) when the product (28) is in a used and soiled condition.
