    摘要: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming mechanism including a motor, and an image forming unit which operates by the motor to form an image on a recording sheet; a registration unit which registers a job; a control unit which controls the image forming mechanism to form an image corresponding to the job registered through the registration unit on a recording sheet; a number obtaining unit which obtains the number of recording sheets required for the job registered through the registration unit; and a setting unit which sets a rotation speed of the motor according to the number of recording sheets obtained by the number obtaining unit. The control unit controls the image forming mechanism to form the image corresponding to the job registered through the registration unit on the recording sheet by rotating the motor at the rotation speed set by the setting unit.

    摘要: In a multiplied pulse generation device, a detection signal is outputted every time a driven object is driven by a specific amount. An actual cycle indicating a time interval between the detection signal and a previous detection signal is measured. An estimated cycle is estimated based on at least past two actual cycles including the actual cycle measured. A multiplied pulse is sequentially generated in such a manner that a multiplied cycle indicating a time interval per which the multiplied pulse is generated is sequentially changed according to an amount of change from the actual cycle to the estimated cycle.

The velocity detection unit detects each velocity of a plurality of driven bodies or of a plurality of motors which independently drives a corresponding one of the driven bodies. The motor control unit independently controls each of the motors based on the velocity and a predetermined velocity directive value. The phase difference detection unit detects a phase difference among each of the driven bodies. The correction value calculation unit calculates a correction value for the velocity or the velocity directive value based on the phase difference.

This technique includes: storing in a storage, a duration of a non-constant-velocity phase during which the target velocity of the controlled object varies with time; and generating the acceleration profile, based on the duration of the non-constant velocity phase stored in the storage, such that a portion of the acceleration profile which corresponds to the non-constant-velocity phase is generally curved.

Also disclosed is a motor control method wherein the resolution of detection of the actual amount of motion and/or the voltage of the motor is/are changed depending upon the target amount of motion.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a tray, a sheet conveying path through which sheets are conveyed, a sheet feeding unit including a sheet feed roller for feeding a first sheet to a sheet holding position, a sheet conveying unit having a conveyor roller that intermittently rotates and holds the sheets. The sheet conveying unit is upstream from a recording position, and downstream from the sheet feeding unit. The image forming apparatus also includes a recording unit, and a controller. The recording unit forms an image onto the first sheet while the conveyor roller is not rotating. The sheet feeding unit feeds a leading edge of a second sheet to the sheet conveying unit and maintains the leading edge of the second sheet colliding against the sheet conveying unit at the sheet holding position by rotating the sheet feed roller prior to completing image formation on the first sheet.
