    摘要: A valve gear device includes a stem having one end and the other end, an intake and exhaust valve connected to the other end of the stem and serving for opening and closing a port formed in a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, a first spring biasing the stem toward a closing condition of the intake and exhaust valve, a cam, and a valve control device interposed between the cam and one end of the stem, the valve control device having a first member fitted in the cylinder block so as to be slidable along an axis of the stem and engaged with the cam, a second member receiving one end of the stem and movable within the first member relative thereto and a regulating device for permitting and preventing the movement of the second member relative to the first member. Such a structure enables that the top end of the stem is out of sliding engagement with any of related members, thereby preventing a friction wear of the top end of the stem.

    摘要: A facsimile apparatus of the present invention and having an energy saving function includes an auxiliary controller or subcontroller for managing the conditions of the apparatus. While the subcontroller is in operation, a time manager manages the duration of the stand-by state of the apparatus and feeds time information to the subcontroller. A main controller delivers, before the stand-by state, a specified cancelling time for cancelling the stand-by state to the subcontroller. In the stand-by state, the subcontroller compares the time information and specified cancelling time. When the specified cancelling time is reached, the auxiliary controller cancels the stand-by state and causes power to be fed to the main controller and preselected units.

    摘要: A facsimile reception apparatus of a facsimile transceiver processes video data using a microcomputer. When one line of decoded video data are stored in a random access memory of the microcomputer, the video data are transferred to a printing section through a microprocessor a plurality of bits at a time. The printing section reproduces a plurality of bits of input video data and then delivers an interruption signal to the microprocessor to request transfer of another plurality of bits of video data thereto. One line of video data are divided into N segments each consisting of the predetermined number of bits. After transfer of the Nth video data segment, an interruption by the printing section which will result from full printing of said video data is inhibited.

    摘要: A drive circuit for a recording head of a thermogenetic recording apparatus comprises a series connection of a current limiting resistor and a variable resistor. The series connection is connected with a control input terminal of switching circuits adapted to selectively energize a plurality of groups of heat generating elements. A stabilizing power source circuit is connected with the current limiting resistor to maintain the voltage across the current limiting resistor or a current flowing therethrough constant. The current flowing through the series connection is thus kept constant so that a voltage for energizing the heat generating element groups is determined by a resistance of the variable resistor. The element group energizing voltage is controllable by adjusting the resistance of the variable resistor.

    摘要: An image forming system including an image forming apparatus and one or more peripheral apparatuses connected to the image forming apparatus, each peripheral apparatus having an independent power saving mode. When a peripheral apparatus does not perform a job or is not operated for a predetermined time period, the peripheral apparatus moves to the power saving mode independently. The peripheral apparatus reverts to a normal operation mode in response to a receipt of a trigger signal generated internally or transmitted by the facsimile apparatus. Since only the peripheral apparatus that is necessary to perform a job reverts to the normal operation mode, the total power consumption of the image forming system is reduced.

    摘要: A facsimile apparatus having an energy saving function includes an auxiliary controller or subcontroller for managing the conditions of the apparatus. While the subcontroller is in operation, a time manager manages the duration of a stand-by state of the apparatus and feeds time information to the subcontroller.
