Abstract:
Non-food plant biomass is subjected to hot-water extraction in a pressurized vessel at an elevated temperature up to about 250° C. and at a pH below about 7.0, to yield an aqueous extract containing hemicellulosic components, other wood-derived compounds, and a lignocellulosic residue. The separated aqueous extract or liquor is purified and concentrated through a multi-step process producing fermentable sugars. At each stage, inhibitory chemicals such as acetic acid, lignin, and furfural are separated and eventually recovered as commercial chemicals. The lignocellulosic residue may be further processed, as a material with enhanced resistance to sorption of water, for manufacture of improved pulp and paper, construction materials, pellet fuel, and/or other useful products.
Abstract:
An antenna module for a mobile communication device is provided in the present disclosure. The antenna module includes a main board, a feed point and at least one ground point provided on the main board, a metal radiator opposite to the main board and electrically connected with the at least one ground point of the main board and a capacitive coupling feed part attached to a surface of the metal radiator and facing the main board, the capacitive coupling feed part being electrically connected to the feed point of the main board via a connecting member.
Abstract:
The method of the present invention is directed towards a method to increase the pulp yield of a lignocellulosic material, or increasing pulp bulk and/or pulp viscosity. This method comprises the following steps; preparing a lignocellulosic material, contacting the lignocellulosic material in a vessel with hot water or steam for a predetermined time, producing acetic acid from the reaction of the hot water or steam and the lignocellulosic material, lowering the pH to less than about 4, removing lignocellulosic material extracts including a large percentage of hemicellulose, acetic acid and metal ions, exposing contacted lignocellulosic material to pulping chemicals in a pulping reactor, forming a contacted lignocellulosic material pulp with a kappa number below about 19 after about 90 minutes of contact with the pulping chemicals, exposing the contacted lignocellulosic material pulp to whitening agents, and producing a whitened hot water contacted lignocellulosic material pulp.

Abstract:
A transmission with a load brake has a ball spline and a stabilizer ring for reducing chatter, a seal for preventing leakage, and an adjustment mechanism for extending the effective life of the brake disk stack. In the past, transmissions equipped with Weston brakes have experienced significant problems with instability and chatter. The present invention overcomes the problems of instability and chatter by introducing a ball spline at the junction between the output shaft and the loading assembly. The ball spline reduces friction caused by the axial movement of the output cam of the loading assembly. Also, the invention introduces a stabilizer ring around the loading assembly to reduce instability and chatter caused by the angular and transverse movement of the loading assembly. The invention also may also utilize a fluid damper in place of the stabilizer ring to reduce instability and chatter caused by the angular and transverse movement of the loading assembly. The invention substantially reduces leakage of transmission fluid by placing a seal including two sealing members around the opening in the casing of the transmission through which the output shaft passes. A layer of relatively high-viscosity grease is introduced between the two sealing members to provide a dam against leakage of transmission fluid. An adjustment mechanism may be used to reconfigure the brake disk stack to its original settings after a pre-determined number of cycles of use of the transmission.
