摘要: An improved trim tab actuator for a marine propulsion device wherein steering sharpness is improved by providing a pivotally supported trim tab that is steered in response to sensed steering conditions for achieving steering sharpness. In the illustrated embodiment, the steering input force and the steered angle of the outboard drive are measured steered conditions which determine the trim tab position. In addition, certain watercraft conditions such as speed and trim are further measured and determine the optimum trim tab position.

摘要: A tilt locking and shock absorbing arrangement for a marine outboard drive embodying a single cylinder and piston assembly for controlling the tilt and trim positions of the drive and for further absorbing shocks applied to it. An arrangement is provided whereby the trim position may be manually controlled without necessitating the operator's use of one hand to operate the mechanism when the desired position is reached. Popping up action is permitted in either normal or shallow water conditions but inadvertent popping up under shallow water, reverse drive is precluded.

摘要: An ignition control system for an internal combustion engine which includes a microcomputer which operates to control the ignition timing in response to engine speed and engine temperature signals individually and in preselected combinations with an engine throttle or air flow signal during predetermined engine running conditions. These predetermined running conditions include low speed, warm up, overheat, cruising, and overspeed engine running conditions. The ignition control system is also capable of detecting and responding to abnormal combustion running conditions and setting an optimum spark advance during the starting of the engine.
