    摘要: An angular, slidable corner connector for securing the corners and joining of a pair of flange frames for ductwork. The frames are formed of transversely aligned edge members and the corner connectors serve to reinforce and connect sheet metal ducts. Each frame edge has longitudinally directed channels. The corner connector is capable of being formed on site. The corner connector comprises two separate legs that are held together. A first leg has a transversely extending slot formed at one end thereof, the leg and the slot being formed from a single piece of material. The second leg has an end slot stop. The corner connector is formed by sliding the second leg through the transversely extending slot in the first leg until the end slot stop abuts against the second leg, the overlapping portions of the first and second legs form the apex of the corner connector.

    摘要: A cable clamp-bracket combination for rigidly connecting to an item to be suspended, especially a HVAC duct suspended from the ceiling of a structure. The combination utilizing, e.g., a commercially available cable clamp rigidly but removably connected to the clamp in a position where openings in the bracket surfaces mate with the cable channels through the clamp and a slot through the bracket mates with a clamp release projection on the clamp. The cable clamp includes a clamp clutch adjacent each cable channel for holding a support cable. The combination resulting in a rigid connection between the clamp and the item (e.g., duct) and a non-slip connection between the supporting cables and the item. The bracket can be formed from a flat plate having preformed openings and connecting elements by bending the plate into the desired form for holding the clamp and being securable to the, e.g., duct.

    摘要: A damper regulator device for adjusting the orientation of a damper blade in an air transfer system, such as a duct, is disclosed. The regulator is coupled to an end portion, of a damper shaft, pivoting of a handle component of the regulator functioning to turn the shaft and hence the blade. The device is adjustable to accommodate damper shafts of different configurations and sizes without disassembly of the device by shifting the handle between one or another of a pair of slots disposed at disparate distances from the shaft.     摘要: There is provided a unitary, strike drop-in anchor where the individual parts are permanently held together to avoid misplacing any such individual part. The anchor comprises an anchor body with a central bore, the first end of the bore being threaded and having a constant internal cross-section for the length of the threaded portion. The exterior of the anchor body, and the central bore, having a decreasing bore towards the second end of the anchor body beyond the threaded portion, a threaded bolt with an internal central bore and a preferably polygonal drive head, and external threads extending from the drive head to the second end, has a strike tool extending through the central bore from the second end and extending beyond the drive head. The strike tool has a strike head that has a diameter larger than the central bore of the threaded bolt and is adjacent the second end of the threaded bolt; a wedge slug is wedged within the central bore of the anchor body, adjacent the decreasing bore portion and is held in place within the anchor body by the threaded bolt and the strike head. When the anchor is assembled, and the anchor is placed within a hole drilled into concrete, striking the outer end of the strike tool with a hammer, causes the wedge slug to flare the narrower inner end of the anchor body, locking the anchor into the concrete.

    摘要: This invention provides a hatch cover suitable for use with fluid ducts having a wide range of diameters, the hatch cover is formed from a plate of a resilient material and is generally of an elongated shape. The resilient material forming the plate has sufficient elasticity to be able to conform to the curvature of the inner surface of a fluid duct when the cover is in place and is held against the inner surface to cover an opening through the duct wall. A flexible gasket material is secured to at least the entire circumferential edge portion of the outer major surface of the resilient plate. The resilient plate is secured to the duct by a plurality of clamping mechanisms attached to the outer surface of the resilient plate so as to press on the outer surface of the duct when clamped, and thus to cause the outer surface of the hatch cover to press against the inner surface of the duct. The gasket material on the outer surface of the plate assists in forming a relatively fluid tight seal between the gasket material and the inner surface of the duct and the outer surface of the resilient plate. The material forming the resilient plate should have sufficient flexibility and elasticity to conform to the curvature of the inner surface of the duct when clamped.
