摘要： The present technology is generally directed to vent stack lids and associated systems and methods. In particular, several embodiments are directed to vent stack lids having improved sealing properties in a coke processing system. In a particular embodiment, a vent stack lid comprises a first lid portion proximate to and at least partially spaced apart from a second lid portion. The vent stack lid further comprises a first sealing portion coupled to the first lid portion and a second sealing portion coupled to the second lid portion. In several embodiments, the second sealing portion at least partially overlaps the first sealing portion over the space between the first and second lid portions. In further embodiments, at least one of the first or second sealing portions includes layers of tadpole seals, spring seals, rigid refractory material, and/or flexible refractory blanket.

摘要： A combustion system is capable of using a petroleum pitch fuel, and is provided with a burner having a fuel supply pipe where a flame stabilizing plate is formed in a tip end of the same, and a high temperature maintaining unit for maintaining an atmosphere temperature at a vicinity of the flame stabilizing plate during operation higher than a softening point of the petroleum pitch fuel. Thus, even when the petroleum pitch is used as fuel, the burner does not become unusable due to adhesion/solidification of the petroleum pitch inside the burner and combustion operation can be continued for a long time.

The cooking or baking oven can also include a damping system having a damper lid coupled to the flue, the damper lid moveable between an open position and a closed position, the damper lid in the closed position covering the opening; a damper motor; and a damper arm coupled to the damper lid and the damper motor, the damper motor rotatably moving the damper arm to move the damper lid between the open and closed positions. Related systems and methods are also provided.

摘要： A furnace-heating combustion apparatus that allows adjustment of a ratio between the amount of primary air and the amount of secondary air. A double-tube elongate burner extends through a rear wall portion of an air box disposed away from a furnace wall. The leading end portion of the burner is disposed inside a tube section such that a secondary air conduit is formed between an outer circumferential face of the leading end portion and an inner circumferential face of the tube section. A primary air conduit is provided at the leading end portion of the burner to introduce the air inside the air box from the rear end portion and cause it to flow toward the leading end portion. A burner supporting means is provided for to allow adjustment of the position of the burner in the longitudinal direction relative to the rear wall of the air box.

摘要： A wood or other bio mass fueled appliance is disclosed for maximum efficiency and low cost construction for home, garage, workshop, and barn. Comprised of a vertical cylindrical outside shell (12) outside bottom (16) and outside top (14) enclosing an inside shell (24) inside bottom (28) and inside top (26). Whereby circular baffles (32) elevated by 90° angle shaped supports (30) suppress the flow of flame and exhaust gases from entering flue (22). Exhaust gases and flame pass by gap (50), directing energy toward the inside surface of inside shell (24) inside bottom (28) and inside top (26). Thus maximizing the efficiency of heat transferred from chamber (36) to the air or fluid in space (18) circulated through ducts (20) by blowers/pumps (48) and directed by air deflectors (46) producing economizing results.

摘要： An improved adjustable primary air supply for wood burning device comprises a base plate having an opening from where primary air enters a firebox. A gate rotationally attached to the base plate by way of a mechanical fastener; a slider with guiding means sliding within an inclined slot; the slider comprised of a contact point which makes contact with the gate for adjustments. A first thermostatic bimetal blade reacting to heat by displacing the gate so that the gate closes the opening; and a means to move the slider and push the gate fully open. The improvement comprising a first stopper member located on the base plate adjacent the opening and adapted to stop the movement of the gate and thereby prevent the gate from completely covering the opening, and a second thermostatic bimetal blade attached to the gate and adapted to react to heat by displacing the gate from the base plate so that the gate can move over the first stopper member such that the gate can continue to cover the opening until the gate contacts the slider contact point.

摘要： An apparatus for a damper cap for a chimney flue includes a top plate having dimensions conforming to a top of the chimney flue. A bird and animal screen is joined to and extends from a bottom of the top plate. The screen has dimensions for insertion into the chimney flue. A rod joined to a center of the top plate extends downward into the chimney flue. A support structure is secured to an interior of the chimney flue. A mechanism is joined to the support structure and the rod for moving the rod in a vertical direction. In an open position the top plate is above the chimney flue to allow smoke to exit and the screen restricts birds and animals from entering. In a closed position the top plate is proximate the chimney flue restricting airflow into and out of the chimney flue and the apparatus is retracted into the flue.
