摘要： Rather than having a frame into which, or upon which, an air conditioning system is mounted, a bus rooftop air conditioning module has a unibody which is formed partially of structural members interconnected to the tube sheets of the evaporator and condenser coils to form a structural body which supports the components of the system. In this way the coil tube sheets combine with other structural members to form the supporting body.

摘要： A filter assembly for use in an air purifier unit having a rectangular shaped air inlet entrance to the unit blower. A rectangular shaped frame containing a HEPA filter pack is slidably received within the blower inlet. An L-shaped flange surrounds the filter frame and closes against the air inlet of the blower to provide an air seal. The top wall of the flange is offset some distance from an adjacent wall of the frame to provide a handle for the filter assembly.

摘要： A control box assembly for use in an air conditioner of the type having an enclosure which includes a basepan and an outer housing. The air conditioner has an inside section and an outside section in the enclosure which are divided by a partition which forms a part of the basepan. The outside section includes an outside heat exchanger, a compressor, and an outside fan driven by an outside fan motor. The inside section includes an inside heat exchanger and an inside fan driven directly by an inside fan motor. The control box assembly includes a molded plastic box having an open end which has mounted therein the control switches for the compressor and the outside and inside motors. Inside fan motor is mounted and supported within the control box. A molded plastic cover is adapted to snap fit onto the control box to cover the opening and further support the inside fan motor.

摘要： A unitary molded grill cover is provided for the indoor side of a window type air conditioner. The grille cover is installed without tools or fasteners. A transverse flange on the grille cover top wall is positioned into a groove or slot on the discharge deck, and the grille cover is snapped into place with the bottom wall thereof extending beneath the base pan of the unit. Bosses on the base pan project into corresponding holes in the grille cover bottom wall to retain the grille cover in place. The evaporator fan aperture plate and the discharge deck are also installed without tools or additional fasteners.

摘要： A bus rooftop air conditioning system is made up of one or more self-contained modules having one or more evaporator sections and one or more condenser sections, with each extending transversely across the width of the bus, and with the evaporator sections fluidly communicating with both a common return air opening and a common supply air opening of the bus. The modules may be of a single unit configuration with a single condenser section and a single evaporator section or they may be of a double unit configuration having two condenser sections and two evaporator sections. The total capacity requirements are met by combining the use of single units and double unit configuration, with each of the evaporator sections communicating with a single return air opening and a single supply air opening in a bus.

摘要： A module is provided for attachment to the roof of a bus and includes all of the necessary components for conditioning the return air from the passenger compartment and delivering conditioned air thereto. A plurality of modules can be mounted in various relationships to collectively provide the total capacity required by the bus. Each module includes an evaporator section, a condenser section and a power section including a compressor and an inverter. The evaporator sections have a return air compartment that extends a substantial distance across the roof of the bus such that a single design can meet the needs of various return air duct installations of various types of buses. Provision is made for the selective mixing of return air with fresh air, with the mixture then being passed by the evaporator blower through the evaporator coils and into the supply air ducts. The frames of the modules are attached to the roof of the bus by rails which are properly spaced to accommodate the module frames and allow their selective longitudinal placement.

摘要： In a bus rooftop air conditioner having a fresh air inlet for routing fresh air to an evaporator coil by way of a passageway and including a frame located in the passageway for the receiving a filter therein. A hinge mounted grill has a body portion for covering the fresh air inlet, while at the same time having a extended arm coming into contact with the filter to hold it in position. The filter can be removed and replaced by simply rotating the grill member to an open position to thereby disengage the extended arm from the filter and allow it to be removed. The grill member has integrally connected and substantially normally extending guide vanes near its other end which, when the grill is the covering position, extends into a condenser discharge opening to thereby act as diffusers within that opening.
