Abstract: The present invention relates to an intramedullary nail for proximal femoral fractures. The intramedullary nail comprises an elongate body (1) with a longitudinal bore (2). The elongate body (1) includes a proximal portion (5) with an oblique transverse bore (7) for a proximal locking member and a distal portion (6) with at least one transverse bore (8) for a distal locking member. An inlet end of the oblique transverse bore (7) is configured as a recess (9) with a recessed surface (11). The recessed surface (11) is composed of recessed lateral surface portions (15) and a recessed proximal as well as a recessed distal surface portion (16 and 17 respectively). Each of the recessed lateral surface portions (15) is configured with at least one protuberance (18) for preventing or reducing the risk for misalignment of e.g. a reamer and, if misalignment occurs, this will not affect critical parts of the intramedullary nail.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an osseous pin (1) for bone fracture fixation. The pin comprises a threaded front section (2) and an unthreaded rear section (3). The threaded front section is configured with two or more kerfs (4) to facilitate breaking of the pin at any one of said kerfs. Abstract: A flexible surgical screw driver comprises a rotatable handle member, a shaft member and a flexible member. The handle member is configured with a first coupling means and the shaft member with a second coupling means. These first and second coupling means are configured to cooperate such that the handle member and the shaft member are angularly displaceable relative to each other and such that said handle member and said shaft member are non-rotatably coupled to each other for driving a screw with rotation transmitted from the handle member. Abstract: A device for fixation of bone fragments (4, 8) comprises a locking plate (1) for fixation on the outside of an outer bone fragment (4). Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for fixation of bone fragments at bone fractures. The device comprises at least two fixation means (1) and a securing plate (17). The securing plate (17) has threaded holes (19). The fixation means consist of bone nails (1) which each comprises a sleeve (5) with a displaceable pin (7) inside the sleeve. A forward portion (9) of the (7) pin defines a first fixing portion for fixing the bone nail (1) in an inner bone fragment (3). A threaded rear end portion (18) of the sleeve (5) defines a second fixing portion for locking the bone nail (1) to the securing plate (17). The sleeve (5) has a middle portion (32) along which the outer bone fragment (2) can slide inwards towards the inner bone fragment (3). The thread of each threaded hole (19) in the securing plate (17) is configured such that after screwing of the threaded rear end portion (18) of the sleeve (5) into the threaded hole until it reaches a surface in the hole against which said threaded rear end portion can abut, a side aperture for the pin (7) in the sleeve is oriented in a predetermined direction in the inner bone fragment (3).

Abstract: A prosthesis for primary artrodhesis can be used for artroplasty and a prosthesis for artroplasty comprises members for artrodhesis. The prosthesis (1b) for primary artrodhesis comprises a locking member (33b) with an attachment portion (16b) which is insertable into a hole (8b) in a first attachment member (4b) of the prosthesis for location of the locking member therein, and a lockable member (34b) integral with a second attachment member (5b) of the prosthesis. The lockable member (34b) is configured for adjustable setting thereof relative to the locking member (33b) and for fixation thereof, in set position, to the locking member. Alternatively, the lockable member comprises an attachment portion which is insertable into a hole in the second attachment member for location of the lockable member therein. At the prosthesis for artroplasty, the hole in the first screw-like attachment member is partly configured to define a press fit with an attachment pin of a socket member and partly threaded to permit, after removal of the socket member, during artrodhesis, securing by screwing in the hole of the locking member for cooperation with a lockable member which is configured for adjustable setting thereof relative to the locking member and for fixation thereof, in set position, to the locking member.
