    Abstract: A faucet for dispensing beverages includes a valve element that is selectively moved from its seated position to its unseated position by manual linear movement of a handle in a first direction from a retracted position toward an extended position. Movement of the handle in the first direction induces movement of the valve element in the first direction. A shaft projects through the handle and an outer end of the shaft provides a reaction structure or button that is engaged by a thumb of a user during movement of the handle from its retracted position toward its extended position. When in its extended position, the handle can be rotated to a lock-open position where interference between the handle and the faucet body prevents movement of the handle from its extended position to its retracted position whereby the faucet is maintained in an opened condition for continuous dispensing of liquid.

    Abstract: A valved outlet for connection to a fluid spout on a fluid container includes at least a first component that includes a body defining a first flow passage extending therethrough. The body has an inlet end adapted for insertion into an associated spout and an outlet end for discharging fluid that enters the first flow passage from the inlet end. A valve portion is located at the inlet end and controls fluid flow from the spout into the first flow passage. The valve includes a housing that defines a second flow passage that communicates with the first flow passage through a port. A resilient seal member has first and second legs compressibly located in the second flow passage and resilient sealingly engaged with the port. The first and second legs are in abutment with the housing of the valve portion. A slide is mounted for axial movement between first and second operative positions in the first flow passage. The slide has an actuating portion that is extendable through the port into engagement with the seal member to move the seal member away from the port when the slide is moved from the first operative position to the second operative position. The valved outlet can also include a second component including a housing adpated for releasably coupling to the body of the first component. The housing of the second component defines a third flow passage that communicates with the first flow passage. The housing of the second component includes a member that contacts and moves the slide member to the second operative position.

    Abstract: A faucet for dispensing liquid with pulp or other suspended solids includes a valve chamber and a valve seat is located in the valve chamber. A valve element for controlling flow of liquid through the valve chamber from the inlet of the body to the outlet of the body includes a valve stem. The valve stem includes (i) a first portion that is closely slidably received in the outlet portion of the liquid flow passage adjacent the valve seat between the valve seat and the outlet; (ii) a second portion connected to the first portion and extending outwardly through the stem aperture of the bonnet such that an outer end of the second portion is located external to the valve chamber; and (iii) a seal located between the first portion and the second portion of the stem.     Abstract: A seat cup seal for a valve includes a base portion and a nipple portion projecting outwardly from the base portion. The nipple portion and said base portion define a blind bore about a longitudinal axis that opens in the base portion.
